Before medical school, Dr. Dang earned a BS in microbiology from the University of Washington. He has authored scientific publications in leading journals, including Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science and Microbiology Spectrum, and has presented research at international conferences hosted by organizations such as the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. His research contributions have earned recognition through multiple competitive awards and grants, including travel grants from the National Eye Institute and the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Dang has helped many students score highly on the MCAT, gain acceptance into medical school, and get selected for competitive research fellowships. He has been passionately teaching and mentoring for over a decade, including a microbiology course at the University of Washington.
As an admissions coach, Dr. Dang brings extensive experience guiding students through every stage of the medical school journey. His mentorship philosophy centers on guiding students toward answers, nurturing curiosity, and building strong independent thinking skills that support long-term success.
