Before attending UTMB, Dr. Faluade graduated from Fisk University with a BA in biology. At Fisk, he was inducted into the Beta Kappa Chi National Honors Society, distinguishing himself early as a scholar committed to the sciences. His undergraduate research in computational chemistry led to a poster presentation at the Conference on Current Trends of Computational Chemistry and a co-authored publication in the International Journal of Quantum Chemistry.
At UTMB, Dr. Faluade was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, an honor recognizing excellence in clinical care, leadership, and compassion. He presented original research at the National Student Research Forum, examining continuous electronic monitoring of urinary output as an underutilized vital sign. After medical school, Dr. Faluade completed his anesthesiology residency at West Virginia University, where he received the Academic Excellence Award for the highest score on the Anesthesiology In-Training Examination for two consecutive years. He then completed an interventional pain fellowship at New York University Langone.
Dr. Faluade is a co-author of publications spanning airway function optimization in the Journal of Clinical Medicine and a book chapter on measuring outcomes of improvement in Sacroiliac Joint Techniques, published by Elsevier. He has also presented posters at the American Academy of Pain Medicine Annual Meeting. He now works as an anesthesiologist at Memorial Hermann & HCA.
Dr. Faluade has served in underserved communities across Africa and South America, providing high-quality medical care through organizations such as Resurge International in Ethiopia and Health Volunteers Overseas in Ghana. These experiences have deeply influenced his practice, inspiring him to blend both conventional medicine and holistic methods. He believes it is an honor when a patient entrusts you with their care, and he carries that same philosophy into mentorship. It is his goal and lifelong mission to improve the quality of life and overall functional status for patients and for every student he coaches. He continues to play an active role in fostering a welcoming, educational, and supportive environment.
