Dr. Brendan Roess, Med School Admissions Consultant at Inspira Advantage

Dr. Roess is a general surgery resident who graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), where he served as a student executive on the admissions committee, reviewing applications and interviewing candidates. Dr. Roess has years of coaching experience and is passionate about helping students get accepted to medical school.

Dr. Roess graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in biology and a 4.0 unweighted GPA, where he was the valedictorian of his graduating class. At NC State, he conducted developmental biology research in the Nascone-Yoder Lab. Dr. Roess has a history of tutoring and mentoring that began by mentoring NC State students in calculus, physics, and chemistry. This continued interest in academic excellence led to him graduating #1 out of over 8,600 students in his graduating class.

At Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Roess was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He also tutored medical students and led campus tours. His research in medical school focused on trauma, critical care, and quality improvement, and it was published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals. He is currently interested in pursuing a colorectal surgery fellowship.

Drawing on his own experience navigating the admissions process and his time serving on an admissions committee, Dr. Roess is excited to guide the next generation of future physicians toward achieving their goals.
