Before attending medical school, Dr. Ntekim graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry from Ithaca College. She also completed a dual Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Public Health at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Driven by her passion for patient care and medical education, she went on to pursue an MD at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where she was awarded a merit-based scholarship in recognition of her academic achievements and leadership potential.
Throughout medical school, Dr. Ntekim served as a tutor and mentor through the Summer Health Professions Education Program, where she counseled and tutored numerous students from diverse educational, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. She went on to complete her preliminary year in internal medicine at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey. During her internship, she distinguished herself through her dedication to patient care, clinical excellence, and scholarly activity, earning the prestigious Intern of the Year Award from the Department of Internal Medicine.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Ntekim has developed a strong record of scholarly achievement early in her career. She has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations spanning clinical medicine, public health, and medical education. Dr. Ntekim’s research has been published in Case Reports in Hematology, the Open Journal of Radiology, and the Open Journal of Anesthesiology. Her research interests include radiology, preventive medicine, health disparities, and medical education. She is currently authoring a chapter in a nuclear medicine radiology textbook, further contributing to the advancement of imaging education and clinical practice.
Dr. Ntekim’s multidisciplinary background in pharmacy, public health, medicine, and radiology provides her with a unique perspective on patient-centered care, healthcare innovation, and the training of future healthcare professionals. Through individualized advising, academic support, interview preparation, and mentorship, she has helped many aspiring physicians matriculate into medical school. Students she has worked with have gone on to earn acceptances at medical schools at Columbia University, Cornell University, Duke University, NYU, UNC, Rutgers University, the University of Maryland, George Washington University, Howard University, Kaiser Permanente, and others.
