Cheryl’s academic and professional achievements reflect her strong commitment to science, medicine, and mentorship. At Rice University, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and consistently recognized on the President’s Honor Roll. She worked as a CHEM 122 tutor and study manager, where she helped students navigate challenging concepts in general chemistry and develop effective study habits. She also served as a student admissions interviewer for the Rice Office of Admissions. Through tutoring and mentorship roles, Cheryl learned how to tailor explanations to different learning styles and break complex topics into manageable, understandable steps.
Cheryl has built a strong clinical and research foundation through roles as a medical assistant at Honeycomb Clinic and Bayou City Dermatology.
