Before attending Vanderbilt University School of Medicine’s Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), Anvith graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS and an MS in genetics. He has six years of tutoring experience and earned a top MCAT score, with perfect section scores in Bio/Biochem and Chem/Phys.

At the University of Georgia, Anvith conducted developmental genetics research as a research assistant. As an MD/PhD student at Vanderbilt University, he is conducting doctoral research on how blood vessels shape abnormal bone growth in pediatric disease. He has over 30 publications, including Annals of Plastic Surgery, the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, and other journals.
