Before attending medical school, Alex’s undergraduate thesis focused on cardiac regeneration and induced pluripotent stem cell biology. His research experience spans cardiology, orthopedic oncology, and regenerative medicine. At UT Southwestern, he conducts clinical research within the Departments of Internal Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery, with a focus on soft tissue sarcomas and cardiovascular outcomes. Previously, at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, his work involved senolytic therapies and mesenchymal stem cells in musculoskeletal disease, with extensive experience in flow cytometry and stem cell-based assays. His work has appeared in respected journals like Aging Cell, Stem Cells, and Current Cardiology Reports and has been presented at both national and institutional conferences.
As an MCAT and USMLE tutor, he draws from a deep academic and research background to help students excel in their exam preparation. He enjoys guiding students of diverse academic backgrounds.
