Dr. Miller graduated with a BS in animal and poultry sciences, with a focus on pre-veterinary studies and an emphasis on poultry. After college, she attended the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, specializing in the public/corporate track. With over eight years of mentorship experience, Dr. Miller has helped students gain acceptance to top vet schools, including Tufts, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina State.

Dr. Agapis has over 10 years of mentorship and five years of admissions experience. She has served on committees at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, including the Intern & Resident Committee, and the Inclusion & Diversity Committee. During this time, she reviewed countless vet school applications and conducted interviews. Students she has coached have attended top veterinary schools at Ohio State University, the University of Illinois, Royal Veterinary College, and others.

Dr. Drerup has years of experience supporting students in academic and clinical settings. A magna cum laude graduate of Texas A&M University, she holds both a BS in biomedical sciences and a DVM. With a strong foundation in biomedical coursework and hands-on teaching, Dr. Drerup has helped pre-vet and veterinary students build confidence, strengthen academic performance, and navigate the challenges of rigorous training.

Dr. Benjamin graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, bringing years of mentorship experience to her vet school admissions coach role. Her approach combines real-world insight with compassionate guidance, helping students gain acceptance to top veterinary schools, including the University of California, Davis, Tuskegee University, and St. George’s University.

Dr. Colman is a highly experienced veterinarian with over 25 years of experience in the field. He served on the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine admissions interview committee for three years, evaluating and interviewing many applicants. With 12 years of coaching experience, he has helped students get accepted to vet schools at the University of Florida, the University of Georgia, Cornell University, Tufts University, Ohio State University, and many other institutions.

Dr. Mishkin serves as a clinical veterinarian, residency admissions committee member, and Assistant Director at Cornell University's Center for Animal Resources and Education (CARE). He served on the residency selection committee at the Tri-institutional Training Program in Laboratory Animal Medicine and Science, where he completed his residency. With 10+ years of mentorship experience, Dr. Mishkin has coached veterinary students, residents, and research staff.

Dr. Aziz is a board-certified shelter medicine specialist who graduated from the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She has over 12 years of experience providing pro bono consultation to shelters nationally and internationally. Her insights into admissions criteria are informed by her experience as an admissions interviewer during her residency at UC Davis Vet School.

Dr. McKinney is a board-certified laboratory animal veterinarian currently working at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He pursued higher education in Columbus, Ohio, from college to vet school. He attended Ohio State University, graduating with a BS in agriculture with a major in animal science and a minor in neuroscience, before attending the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Yuschenkoff graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine before completing two internships in small animal medicine and zoological medicine at Tufts University and the Phoenix Zoo, respectively. She is currently an associate veterinarian at the Oklahoma City Zoo, where she completed her residency in zoological medicine.

Dr. Segar completed her DVM and PhD at Kansas State University on a full-ride scholarship. She is currently an Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education Postdoctoral fellow working at the US Department of Agriculture studying animal diseases, including Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies, SARS-CoV-2, and Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza.

Dr. Thurston is a small animal general practitioner in Minnesota working at River Valley Veterinary Service. He attended the University of Wisconsin College of Veterinary Medicine, serving as Class President and Executive Board Member of his local Student American Veterinary Medical Association. He also served as the National Vice President of the Veterinary Business Management Association and as a student admissions ambassador at UWisconsin.

Dr. Seal's career is marked by 12 years of active duty service in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, where she found her true calling in mentoring junior veterinarians and soldiers, ensuring their professional development and readiness. She also spent six years reviewing applications at Ohio State, giving her insights into what admissions committees look for in candidates.

Dr. Winn is a board-certified laboratory animal veterinarian with a diverse professional background and extensive admissions counseling experience. She collaborated with Ross University to guide prospective students through the application and relocation process and served on the interview panel at Georgetown University and the NYU-Regeneron Laboratory Animal Medicine (LAM) Residency program.

Dr. Cangemi is a veterinarian specializing in equine medicine. She has extensive mentoring experience, including serving on the University of Minnesota's Admissions Committee for the past four years. Dr. Cangemi is also deeply committed to student development, mentoring pre-vet students, interns, and residents, while facilitating externships and internships at her current practice.

Dr. Hoareau is a board-certified emergency and critical care specialist and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah. He has over 16 years of admissions and coaching experience, including serving on admissions committees at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Emergency and Critical Care residency and the University of Utah School of Medicine, evaluating hundreds of applications and interviewing candidates.

Dr. Bartholomew is an emergency and critical care veterinarian at a tertiary care facility in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She is the head of her hospital’s emergency medicine training program, where she mentors new veterinarians to become strong and confident emergency doctors. She has eight years of admissions and coaching experience, including serving on the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine’s admissions committee as an application reviewer and interviewer.

Oliver earned a Bachelor’s degree in integrative biology with honors from Harvard before attending Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he received a $35,000 merit-based scholarship. As the Co-President of the Harvard College Pre-Veterinary Society, Oliver has worked with the Harvard Veterinary Network to guide aspiring veterinary students through admissions.

Dr. Applebaum is a USDA-accredited and Fear-Free veterinarian with extensive experience mentoring students and a passion for promoting the human-animal bond. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and has years of coaching experience—students Dr. Applebaum has worked with have been accepted to vet schools at UPenn, UGeorgia, Louisiana State, and others.

Dr. Mika is a dedicated veterinarian specializing in animal pain management. She is currently completing her residency in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia at the University of Pennsylvania, where she cares for both large and small animals. With extensive coaching experience, she is passionate about helping students gain confidence, define their goals, and craft compelling, authentic narratives that highlight their unique paths to veterinary school.

Dr. McDaniel is an accomplished equine ambulatory veterinarian in Virginia with over five years of experience counseling pre-vet students. She graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and has served on the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine’s admissions committee as an interviewer. Dr. McDaniel frequently presents at schools, FFA classes, and 4H clubs, helping students get into veterinary programs.

Before attending the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Jenna graduated from Santa Clara University. During college, Jenna founded and served as President of The Partnership for Animal Welfare and Support (PAWS). Under her leadership, the club raised over $4,000 in support funds for local animal shelters and connected dozens of SCU students to volunteer opportunities. At Tufts, she was elected Co-President of her cohort.

Dr. Hallsten graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, and is completing a large animal rotating internship at Texas A&M University. She was the California Veterinary Medicine Association (CVMA) Board of Governors student representative for UC Davis. Dr. Hallsten brings a wealth of experience in supporting aspiring veterinarians, drawing from her own journey as a student.

Prior to attending the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Emma graduated from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in biology and biotechnology. At Tufts, she completed selective hours in the large animal neonatal ICU and the Worcester Veterinary Outreach program, providing free veterinary care to the Worcester community. Emma currently works as a technician in the Tufts Foster Hospital for Small Animals ICU and emergency room.

Danielle graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences and a minor in sociology before attending the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (VMCVM). She has extensive mentorship experience, including serving as a TA for organic chemistry, a mentor for undergraduate students pursuing research, and a guide for international students navigating their first year of college in the US.

Dr. Sedighim is a veterinarian who earned her DVM from the Western University of Health Sciences School of Veterinary Medicine. During vet school, she served as the president of the Veterinary Research Club, inviting students to explore their research interests, and acted as the treasurer of the Veterinary Behavior Club, managing the organization's finances. Sharona was also selected as the student representative for Merck Animal Health and VetPrep.

Dr. Rivard has been a practicing veterinarian for nearly 10 years and has over five years of experience mentoring pre-vet, vet, and newly graduated vet school students, as well as veterinary technicians, biologists, volunteers, and animal care interns. She is currently an aquatic animal veterinarian overseeing medical care for stranded marine mammals at SR3 (SeaLife Response, Rehabilitation, and Research), a rehabilitation facility near Seattle. She responds to field emergencies, conducts postmortems and research, and mentors volunteers and staff at the center.

Dr. Knight is an associate veterinarian at a small animal general practice in the US. She graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London and became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS). She gained qualifications to practice veterinary medicine in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. Dr. Knight has sat on the Royal Veterinary College admissions committee, evaluating applications and interviewing 300+ candidates.

Dr. Voss is an emergency veterinarian at the Veterinary Emergency Group. She attended the Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine, where she currently serves on the admissions committee as an interviewer.

Dr. Clark is a UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine graduate who currently works at Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital in Colorado. She has worked in various capacities, including small animal general practice, corporate medicine, urgent care/emergency medicine, vaccine clinics, and at-home hospice and euthanasia services.

Dr. Harrison graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in animal science and a Master’s in shelter medicine before attending veterinary school at Western University. She created, organized, and executed the Western University Veterinary Enrichment Summer Program to prepare 7th–12th graders for veterinary education; she gave lectures, spearheaded problem-based learning simulations, and guided students throughout the program’s duration.
