Satjit was selected as a Dean’s Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (DUROP) Award recipient at Western University, supporting research focused on developing cell lines to investigate a tRNA-based therapeutic approach to casein kinase 2-related disorders. During his undergraduate studies, he also worked as a biochemistry and psychology research assistant. . T His work in biochemistry and cognitive neuroscience strengthened his ability to break complex information into clear, logical steps. He brings that same approach to tutoring, helping students understand not just the answer, but how to reason their way there independently.
Satjit has developed a strong foundation in teaching through advocacy and student support. Through Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM), he has taken on several leadership roles centered on healthcare access and student advocacy. As a member of the North American Coordinating Committee, he helps manage major initiatives involving medicine access, health equity, and student empowerment across North America. He has also contributed to the North American Health Report Committee, working with partners to evaluate universities on healthcare access and sustainability. Satjit previously served as Vice President of Events and Event Executive Director for Western’s UAEM chapter. As an International Outreach Commissioner for Western University’s Science Students’ Council, Satjit developed policies and programming for international students, including an introductory presentation reaching more than 100 students and initiatives addressing language barriers. He also participated in policymaking affecting more than 6,000 students.
As a tutor, Satjit is committed to strengthening students’ test-taking strategies and improving their confidence, particularly in the Bio/Biochem and CARS sections. His approach focuses on meeting students where they are, identifying the source of their challenges, and tailoring explanations so that difficult concepts feel more manageable. Satjit is calm and encouraging in every session. He understands that MCAT prep can feel overwhelming, especially when students are balancing content review, passage strategy, timing, practice exams, and self-doubt. His goal is to help students feel more confident and proficient on the MCAT by turning overwhelming material into clear, practical strategies they can use consistently.
Satjit is passionate about paying forward the mentorship he has received and helping students build the skills, structure, and confidence they need to approach the MCAT with a stronger sense of control.
