Undergrad: Brown University
Throughout his undergraduate studies, Bobby taught science lessons to local high school students for four years and spent two years tutoring Biochemistry and Genetics at Brown University’s Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning. In these positions, he planned lesson schedules and learned how to explain concepts concisely while asking engaging questions. Bobby was recognized with multiple awards during college, including the Undergraduate Teaching and Research Awards (UTRA) and the Charlotte Magnum Scholarship. He also spent years as an EMT with Brown Brown Emergency Medical Services.
Bobby’s teaching philosophy revolves around understanding each student’s needs and preparing materials that effectively target areas they need help with the most. He believes that everyone has the potential to go above and beyond their target score, and he wants all students to believe the same as well. Most importantly, he wants to make learning fun, because the journey is as important as the destination.
