Matt Kelly, Private MCAT Tutor at Inspira Advantage

Matt graduated from Villanova University on a full-ride Presidential Scholarship with a Bachelor's in biology and minors in philosophy, Spanish, peace & justice, and business. With over 12 years of tutoring experience, students Matt has worked with have achieved an average score increase of 12 points and have earned acceptances to medical schools at Penn State University, the University of Vermont, Morehouse College, and other institutions.

After graduating from Villanova University, Matt spent more than four years at NYU Grossman School of Medicine as a data analyst and research coordinator, where his research focused on improving the quality and cost-effectiveness of prostate cancer care within the Veterans Health Administration. He is a co-author on peer-reviewed publications in Cancer, the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Urology, Cancer Reports, and Trials, examining racial disparities in access to prostate cancer treatment, the cost and survival implications of guideline-discordant imaging, the effect of shifting national screening recommendations on PSA testing, and clinical interventions designed to bring physician practice in line with evidence-based guidelines. He now serves as Manager of Data Governance at Stellar Health, where he continues to work at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and data analytics.

Matt has worked with test prep companies for nearly a decade, and relies on the breadth of his undergraduate studies to shape how he teaches. He believes the MCAT rewards students who can move fluidly between scientific reasoning, argument analysis, and behavioral science, and his own academic background sits at exactly that intersection. As such, his tutoring approach centers on strategy rather than content review alone. Matt believes that most students’ scores plateau not because they lack knowledge, but because of how they approach passages, eliminate answer choices, and manage their time. His first priority is diagnosing exactly which decisions are costing points before helping students develop efficient test-taking strategies that translate their knowledge into higher scores.

Matt's passion for coaching comes from a clear sense of where he can be most useful to students. His years of experience in academic medicine, mastery of MCAT content, and more than a decade of teaching experience have positioned him to help future physicians reach their goals. Watching students transform a stalled practice score into one that opens new opportunities is the most rewarding part of his work.
