Before attending the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, Dr. Emenogu graduated from Ohio State University with a BS in neuroscience. At Ohio State, he developed an early interest in neurological disease and the science of the nervous system, setting the foundation for his future career in medicine. At the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, Dr. Emenogu remained actively engaged in leadership and organized medicine. He has held leadership roles at the state and national levels, advocating for trainees and contributing to initiatives that support physician development and patient care. These experiences have strengthened his ability to communicate effectively, advocate for others, and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Emenogu's passion for admissions coaching stems from a desire to make the medical journey more accessible and less intimidating for future physicians. His approach emphasizes empowerment, clarity, and confidence, ensuring that each student feels supported throughout the process. He is especially passionate about working with first-generation college students, underrepresented applicants, and LGBTQ+ students, recognizing the unique challenges these groups may face as they navigate the path to medicine.
