Before attending Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Dr. Marras graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and a minor in Italian. At Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, she founded a clinical nutrition elective that continues to educate future medical students on evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine. She also mentored pre-medical and medical students, tutored for USMLE Step 1, and remained actively involved in clinical education throughout her training.
Dr. Marras has built a strong foundation in research, service, and preventive medicine. She has authored first-author research publications, presented her work at national conferences, and continues to pursue research in obesity medicine, nutrition, and preventive care. Her research has been published in Urologic Oncology: Seminars and Original Investigations and the Journal of Emergency Medicine Trauma & Surgical Care. Dr. Marras has extensive clinical and volunteer experience, caring for underserved communities in Detroit, Chicago, Ghana, and Italy, reflecting her commitment to health equity and compassionate patient care.
