Undergrad: Obafemi Awolowo University
Medical School: All Saints University School of Medicine
At All Saints University School of Medicine, Dr. Aina gained firsthand experience navigating the international medical graduate pathway before continuing his clinical training in pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Michigan. His residency training has spanned pediatric hospital medicine and neonatal care, while his professional interests have expanded into healthcare utilization management and physician advisory work. This combination of experiences allows Dr. Aina to offer applicants a practical understanding of both medical training and the evolving expectations of physicians in today’s healthcare system.
Dr. Aina’s path to medicine was shaped by his immigrant background and pursuing a demanding career without a clear roadmap, an experience that deepened his commitment to mentorship and helping future physicians navigate complex academic and professional decisions. As a medical school and residency admissions coach, Dr. Aina draws on his lived experience with both the IMG application process and residency match to help students build compelling, individualized applications. He believes there is no one-size-fits-all pathway to medicine and approaches coaching with honesty, structure, and clarity. Dr. Aina meets each student where they are, helping them identify their strengths, tell their story effectively, and move forward with a plan grounded in what works in real-world admissions.
