Dr. Ajay Mittal, Med School Admissions Consultant at Inspira Advantage

Dr. Mittal is an internal medicine resident who graduated with a DO from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he served on the admissions committee for four years. As an admissions committee member, Dr. Mittal reviewed hundreds of applications. Students he has mentored have been accepted to top medical schools at Johns Hopkins University, UCLA, and the University of Florida.

Before attending medical school, Dr. Mittal graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in biological science. Dr. Mittal helped build Equal Access Research, a research group affiliated with the University of Florida that grew to enroll over 5,000 patients across 10 sites in a variety of clinical research trials at one of the nation's largest digital health labs. His early commitment to expanding access to care laid the foundation for the clinical and academic career that followed.

During medical school, Dr. Mittal continued to scale the operations of Equal Access Research while serving on the admissions committee at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he reviewed applications, interviewed candidates, and participated in admissions decisions. Currently, Dr. Mittal is an internal medicine resident physician at BayCare/Northwestern Medicine in Florida. He also serves as an affiliate faculty member at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he serves as the Course Producer for the Introduction to the Professions of Medicine course, which enrolls 1,500 students annually.

Dr. Mittal's research has been presented at national conferences, including the American College of Cardiology. He has published over 25 scientific papers and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals, including JMIR Research Protocols, the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. He was once featured on the cover of the Florida Gator Magazine Summer Edition for his contributions to digital health and expanding access to care.
