At Xavier University of Louisiana, Daniel distinguished himself as an organic chemistry tutor and earned the Tutor of the Year Award twice. He also served as a supplemental teacher in biochemistry and genetics, building a strong foundation in the science-heavy content areas that anchor the MCAT. Daniel was selected as an inaugural recipient of the Biogen Sharp-Verret Award, a competitive scholarship supporting students pursuing careers in neuroscience.
Daniel’s experience working with students at different stages of MCAT preparation has taught him to tailor his instruction to each learner. He helps students strengthen weak content areas while developing the reasoning and test-taking strategies needed to apply that knowledge on exam day. Students Daniel has tutored have been accepted to numerous top medical schools, including the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine, Georgetown University School of Medicine, Howard University College of Medicine, Tulane University School of Medicine, and others.
