As President of RISE, a student-led initiative, she coordinated free virtual tutoring for K–12 students in the Philadelphia school system. Her passion for tutoring began in high school after she earned near-perfect scores on the SAT and ACT, with her eventual transition to tutoring students for the MCAT and USMLE Step exams. Whether in the emergency department or the classroom, one of her greatest joys is making someone’s day better and helping them move closer to their dreams.
Alisha has helped a wide range of students reach their goals with individualized, supportive lesson plans and a strong emphasis on adaptability. With nearly 100 students tutored so far, she has helped many achieve 515+ scores. She strives to meet each student where they are, integrating learning science, content review, and mindset coaching to maximize performance. In addition to her role as an MCAT tutor, she has further served as a tutor for the USMLE exams and medical school coursework.
Alisha’s motivation is rooted in a deep desire to help others succeed—whether through academic mentorship or compassionate clinical care. She is excited to support students on their path to medical school and beyond.
