Mohammad didn’t realize attending BS/MD programs existed until his sophomore year of high school. He knew he wanted to become a physician since he was 10, but was shocked to discover he could fast-track his college and medical school education through a BS/MD program. He worried that his extracurricular activities did not show the breadth and depth that competitive programs seek in applicants. Mohammad spoke with his parents about his concerns, and they collectively agreed to approach Inspira Advantage for help.
We partnered Mohammad with a BS/MD admissions coach ready to help him learn more about how the process differed from regular college admissions. Mohammad’s consultant reviewed his profile and identified key gaps in clinical exposure experiences. We helped Mohammad find and cold call physicians to shadow. We also helped him craft and edit a pre-college summer application to Georgetown University’s 1-Week Medical Academy. We also optimized his high school course schedule to include AP science classes.
Mohammad was accepted to 12 colleges and 3 BS/MD programs. After weighing his acceptance offers, Mohammad decided to attend Case Western University’s Pre-Professional Scholars Program in Medicine.
