Dr. Lingaya completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor, graduating with university honors from the Honors Program with a dual degree in evolutionary anthropology and biology. As an undergraduate, he pursued research domestically and internationally, including fieldwork in rural Ghana and global health exploration in the Middle East as a Marsh Fellow. His diverse international experiences formed the cornerstone of his medical school application, earning him admission to 13+ institutions.
At the University of Michigan Medical School, Dr. Lingaya was awarded the prestigious Hymen Oren Scholarship—a full-tuition merit-based award recognizing future leaders in medicine. He also served as a Graduate Success Partner for five years, acting as a mentor to undergraduate pre-med students at the University of Michigan and guiding them through the admissions process.
As a first-generation college student and immigrant from the Philippines, Dr. Lingaya’s commitment to admissions consulting is personal and mission-driven. The mentorship he received throughout his medical education journey played a pivotal role in his success. He is passionate about paying that support forward, particularly to students navigating similar barriers.

Drawing from his experience on the admissions committee of a top medical school, Dr. Lingaya helps applicants uncover and elevate the qualities that set them apart.
