Dr. Argarwal graduated with a BS in cell & molecular biology before completing a medical degree at the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. After medical school, he completed an internal medicine internship at Northwell Health and a residency in radiation oncology at SUNY Downstate, where he served as Chief Resident and led teaching rounds for students and junior residents. Dr. Argarwal later completed an advanced fellowship in prostate brachytherapy at the Chicago Prostate Cancer Center under the mentorship of one of the field’s pioneers.
Over his ten-year academic career, Dr. Agarwal served on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, where he led resident services, supervised clinical rotations, and mentored students interested in oncology and procedural specialties. He has lectured nationally on topics such as prostate cancer management, integrative oncology, and physician wellness, and has been featured on the American Brachytherapy Society Podcast, the Superhuman Podcast, and the Haitian American Nurses Association Radio Show. His writing has appeared in The Epoch Times, where he provided expert commentary on prostate cancer trends and screening.
Dr. Agarwal’s research includes peer-reviewed work on rectal spacing techniques for radiotherapy, highlighting the role of hydrogel and hyaluronic-acid spacers in improving patient safety and quality of life. His ongoing work focuses on education, innovation, and access to advanced therapies for prostate cancer. Today, Dr. Agarwal is a Field Medical Director at Evolent Health.
As an admissions coach, Dr. Agarwal draws on his experience teaching and evaluating medical students and residents. He understands both the rigor and the humanity of medical training. His greatest strengths as a counselor include helping students find their authentic voice, structuring a clear application strategy, and preparing them to speak confidently in interviews. His approach is calm, structured, and highly personalized—he builds detailed plans, provides actionable feedback, and teaches students how to translate their life stories into compelling applications that stand out.
Dr. Agarwal’s passion for coaching comes from years of mentoring in academic medicine. He has seen how guidance at the right moment can change the trajectory of a student’s career, and he believes that great physicians are built on curiosity, empathy, and purpose. He especially enjoys working with first-generation, non-traditional, and career-pivoting applicants, helping them connect their unique paths to a future in medicine.
