Driven by her passion for education and mentorship, Dr. Ng created a quality improvement curriculum for all residencies in Kaiser Northern California programs. Currently, she collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, family-centered care. Her clinical work is grounded in patient safety and quality improvement, shaped by years of experience in academic and hospital-based pediatric medicine.
Dr. Ng has been deeply involved in medical education and mentorship throughout her career. In addition to serving as a residency admissions interviewer, she has held roles as a Clinical Instructor of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at UCLA Health, Regional Patient Safety Fellow at Kaiser Permanente, and section editor at The Human Diagnosis Project, contributing to curriculum development, trainee education, and case-based learning. She understands firsthand the challenges of medical training and the importance of honest guidance, encouragement, and perspective from mentors.
As an advisor, Dr. Ng’s strengths lie in her ability to quickly identify opportunities for growth while highlighting each student’s unique strengths. Her background in academic medicine and inpatient pediatrics allows her to offer practical, structured, and supportive guidance, whether helping early learners explore medicine or supporting trainees as they refine long-term career goals.
