Dr. Go completed a BS in pre-medical studies at the University of Hawaii. Throughout his career, he has earned numerous academic awards, including the full-tuition Hawaii Pacific University President’s Scholarship, the Fischer Scholarship, the Celia Goldberg Endocrinology Scholarship. He also received multiple research honors, such as the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) Undergraduate Research Presentation Award and “Dr. Kosasa’s Award” for Best Overall Research Presentation. He is also a member of the Alpha Chi and Beta Beta Beta National Honor Societies and was recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Philipino Students of Hawaii.
Beyond clinical practice and teaching, Dr. Go has served in key leadership positions, including Medical Director of Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain and Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee in the Department of Anesthesia at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He has also worked there as an assistant professor and continues to remain active in research, with eight publications accessible through the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Go currently works as an interventional pain physician at Advanced Spine and Pain (ASAP).
With 10 years of mentorship experience, Dr. Go emphasizes empathy, active listening, and individualized guidance. He recognizes that each applicant brings unique life experiences, strengths, and goals, and he tailors his mentorship accordingly rather than relying on prescriptive approaches.
