Dr. Zafar has also developed a long-standing passion for mentorship and community engagement. Dr. Castro’s early work as an undergraduate research assistant at Florida International University involved single-cell imaging protocols, advanced microscopy, and mass spectrometry, and he later expanded his academic interests during medical school through 10+ poster and oral presentations. Dr. Castro has presented extensively at regional and national conferences, including the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Florida Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Student Osteopathic Medical Association.

Raised on a small family farm in rural Nebraska, she grew up in an environment where few pursued doctoral degrees, and guidance through the process was limited. Dr. Reddy earned a BS in cellular and molecular biology, graduating summa cum laude from Augusta University. He completed his medical education at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship, a full-tuition, four-year merit-based award, as well as the Medical Scholars Research Scholarship.

Following medical school, Dr. Reddy trained as a neurosurgery resident at the University of Southwestern Medical Center, During residency, he managed the care of hundreds of patients and supervised medical students on clinical rotations. His time in neurosurgery provided him with firsthand insight into the rigor, expectations, and unspoken rules of elite academic training environments. He also has an exceptional research background, with over 1,000 hours of laboratory and clinical research experience resulting in more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and an h-index of 40. Dr. Jiser has enjoyed mentoring students throughout his career. After graduating from the Baylor College of Medicine, she completed an anesthesiology residency and obtained her Interprofessional Graduate Certificate in hospice and palliative care from the University of Colorado Denver at Anschutz Medical Campus. After residency, she became an attending physician at Baylor College of Medicine, where she mentored medical students and residents for over 12 years. Dr. Argarwal graduated with a BS in cell & molecular biology before completing a medical degree at the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. After medical school, he completed an internal medicine internship at Northwell Health and a residency in radiation oncology at SUNY Downstate, where he served as Chief Resident and led teaching rounds for students and junior residents. Dr. Argarwal later completed an advanced fellowship in prostate brachytherapy at the Chicago Prostate Cancer Center under the mentorship of one of the field’s pioneers.

Over his ten-year academic career, Dr. Agarwal served on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, where he led resident services, supervised clinical rotations, and mentored students interested in oncology and procedural specialties. He has lectured nationally on topics such as prostate cancer management, integrative oncology, and physician wellness, and has been featured on the American Brachytherapy Society Podcast, the Superhuman Podcast, and the Haitian American Nurses Association Radio Show. Dr. Agarwal’s research includes peer-reviewed work on rectal spacing techniques for radiotherapy, highlighting the role of hydrogel and hyaluronic-acid spacers in improving patient safety and quality of life. She also won the Clinical Laboratory Science Explorer Scholarship and was inducted into multiple honor societies, including Alpha Sigma Nu, Rho Lambda, Order of Omega, and Alpha Epsilon Delta.

During medical school, Dr. Miller was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and received multiple scholarships, including the V. Duane Rath Merit Scholarship, the Presidential Scholar Award, and the Quality Scholar Award. She was also recognized with the Medical Student Award from the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the Medical Student Travel Award from the College of American Pathologists Foundation. 

Dr. Miller also earned a Master of Jurisprudence in health law with a certificate in compliance studies from Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Miller also holds certifications in medical laboratory science (MLS), healthcare compliance (CHC), and medical quality (CMQ). She has also completed additional education in healthcare management through Michigan Medicine's Health Administration Scholars Program. 

Dr. Miller has been teaching MCAT prep for 10 years and continues to mentor aspiring physicians throughout her time in medical school. Since beginning residency, Lauren has mentored aspiring pathologists through the competitive application process.
