Dr. Akosua Frimpong, Med School Admissions Consultant at Inspira Advantage

Dr. Frimpong graduated from the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University before becoming an integrated cardiothoracic surgery resident at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. With six years of mentorship experience, she has helped students gain acceptance to medical schools such as Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Penn State College of Medicine, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, and UCSF School of Medicine.

Before attending Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, Dr. Frimpong graduated from Rutgers University–New Brunswick with a BA in molecular biology and biochemistry, applying as an international applicant. At Cooper Medical School, Dr. Frimpong immersed herself in clinical research and community service in Camden, New Jersey. She contributed to projects spanning stroke disparities research, bioengineering design, and cosmetic formulation, while also dedicating years of volunteer work and outreach to the local community. At the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, she earned recognition as Chief Resident for her leadership, work ethic, and commitment to advancing high-quality surgical care.
