University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine

Director of Advising

Dr. Nwankwo has over a decade of coaching and mentorship experience, having supported several pre-med students through their academic journeys. She has advised students on research projects, application strategies, interview preparation, and school selection. Students she has worked with have gained admission to some of the nation's top medical schools, including NYU, UCSF, Stanford, Harvard, UPenn, Duke, Northwestern, UChicago, Emory, and WUSTL.

Dr. Benjamin G.

Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University

Dr. Grugan is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who completed a degree in biopsychology at Pennsylvania State University and earned an MD from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He then went on to complete his emergency medicine residency at the renowned Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where he trained in one of the nation’s busiest and most challenging clinical environments.

Stanford University School of Medicine

Dr. Gebregziabher graduated from the Stanford School of Medicine, where he worked in diversity recruitment efforts, and is an internal medicine resident at the University of Chicago. He brings eight years of mentorship experience to his role, helping undergraduate and BS/MD applicants gain acceptance to top-tier schools, including Harvard Medical School, Stanford Medical School, and the UCLA School of Medicine.

Dr. Binyamin A.

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences College of Medicine

Director of Advising

Dr. Abramowitz brings a decade of experience mentoring pre-med and medical students through test prep, academic advising, and application support. He earned his BA through the highly selective BA/MD program at Brooklyn College and graduated with an MD from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. He served on his medical school admissions committee as an application reviewer and interviewer.

University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine

Director of Advising

Dr. Nwankwo is a dermatology resident physician at New York University who graduated from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine’s (UMKC) accelerated six-year BA/MD program. She served as a UMKC School of Medicine admissions interviewer and mentor through organizations such as Students in Training, in Academia, Health and Research, and the Dream Big Initiative, which she co-founded.

University of California, Davis School of Medicine

Director of Advising

Dr. Nguyen is a psychiatry resident at the University of California, San Francisco – Fresno. He earned an MD from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, and holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in English and psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Nguyen draws on 15+ years of mentorship experience and three years of admissions committee service at institutions including UCSF Fresno and UC Davis School of Medicine to guide BS/MD applicants through the process.

Ross University School of Medicine

Director of Advising

Dr. Khan earned an MD from Ross University School of Medicine and is the Associate Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. She completed her family medicine residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School before advancing to a competitive fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, where she trained in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries in athletes and active individuals.

Yale School of Medicine

Director of Advising

Dr. Chang is a gynecologic oncology fellow at the University of California, San Francisco, where she cares for patients with female reproductive system cancers. She graduated with an MD from Yale School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Chang served on the Yale New Haven Hospital OB/GYN residency admissions committee and received multiple teaching awards, including the prestigious Meehan-Miller Award for Academic Excellence.

Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine

Director of Advising

Dr. Luoma-Overstreet is a BS/MD admissions expert and an OB/GYN resident at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Fresno. She graduated in the top 10% of her class with an MD from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where she was the Vice President of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Luoma-Overstreet has served as an interviewer and application reviewer at the VCU School of Medicine and as an interviewer at UCSF Fresno.

Director of Advising

Dr. Tang is a psychiatry resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL. He earned an MD from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University after completing the highly selective Washington & Jefferson College/Temple University BA/MD program, where he graduated summa cum laude in neuroscience. During his training, he distinguished himself as a researcher, student leader, and admissions committee member with first-hand insight into the BA/MD selection process.

Baylor College of Medicine

Dr. Shah is a triple board-certified physician in internal medicine, nephrology, and critical care. He earned a BS in microbiology and immunology and French language and literature from the University of Miami before graduating with an MD from the Baylor College of Medicine. With over a decade of coaching experience, Dr. Shah is committed to helping BS/MD applicants get accepted to the nation’s most prestigious programs.

Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine

Director of Advising

Dr. Gruszczynski is an otolaryngologist–head and neck surgeon at South Florida ENT Associates. He began his medical education journey at Yeshiva University, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in biology and religious studies. Dr. Gruszczynski earned an MD from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine on a full scholarship, then completed his residency in otolaryngology at the University of Virginia, where he served on his residency’s acceptance committee as Chief Resident Interviewer.

University of Michigan Medical School

Director of Advising

Dr. Irani is an OB/GYN resident and MD/MPH graduate from the University of Michigan Medical School and School of Public Health. She has over three years of direct admissions committee experience as an interviewer at the University of Michigan Medical School. She excels at BS/MD coaching and has helped students get into medical schools at UT Southwestern, Georgetown University, and Texas Tech, among many others.

Baylor College of Medicine

Director of Advising

Dr. Broussard is a board-certified anesthesiologist who was accepted into the University of Houston/Baylor College of Medicine BS/MD program while still in high school. She earned a BS in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Houston before graduating with an MD from the Baylor College of Medicine. She served as a voting member on the Baylor School of Medicine’s admission committee, evaluating over 1,000+ applications over four years.

Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University

Director of Advising

Dr. Caruso graduated summa cum laude from Kennesaw State University before earning an MD from the Medical College of Georgia. He then completed his anesthesiology residency at the Advocate Masonic Medical Center. Dr. Caruso has served as an MMI interviewer for the Medical College of Georgia and a Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) member for his anesthesiology residency program, giving him insight into what distinguishes successful applicants across training levels.
