Michelle was a sophomore who decided to follow a pre-health track but wasn’t sure which courses she should take for dental school beyond introductory science courses. She wanted to ensure she would take the necessary courses and hone her skills for dental school. Michelle also wanted to ensure that her extracurriculars list would demonstrate her passion for dental medicine.

How We Helped:

Reviewed Michelle’s transcript and built a clear course sequence to complete all dental school prerequisites while maintaining a competitive GPA

Advised her to incorporate strategic upper-level biology and chemistry electives to strengthen her academic rigor and dental school preparation

Matched Michelle with a 1:1 DAT tutor and structured a study plan that allowed her to achieve a 540 score while balancing academics and extracurriculars

Helped Michelle secure shadowing opportunities in orthodontics and oral surgery at the UF College of Dentistry to gain direct exposure to multiple dental specialties

Supported her successful application to become a Medi-Gators Ambassador, allowing her to participate in outreach efforts, organize events, and lead informal peer mentoring sessions
