Throughout her academic journey, Francesca developed a keen interest in the intersection of public health, population health, and medicine, particularly in the context of sexual and reproductive health. Her research primarily focused on access to care paradigms for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis and the impact of various psycho-social risk factors on STI transmission among men who have sex with men.
Determined to apply her knowledge in a practical setting, Francesca applied to medical school with an impressive academic background and passion for public health shone through, and after careful consideration, she chose to attend the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Specializing in emergency medicine, she plans to continue her practice in the Northeast, where she can make a significant impact on the lives of her patients and the community at large.
Throughout her time at medical school, Francesca has been actively involved in various research projects and campus initiatives.
