At Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Villavisanis received a full-ride scholarship through the Hodson Scholarship and graduated with a BA in anthropology; medicine, science, and the humanities. As an undergraduate, he also completed a year-long fellowship at the University of Oxford in Biochemistry, where he rowed for his college. He was offered and accepted early admission to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai through the FlexMed program with a merit scholarship.
While attending Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Villavisanis performed in-depth clinical and basic science research, resulting in over fifty published manuscripts and over six figures in research grants. He is a Co-Chair of the Young Leadership Circle for the international cleft lip and palate charity, Smile Train. With years of research experience, admissions committee insights, and a passion for mentoring, he has helped countless students secure spots at prestigious medical schools.
Dr. Villavisanis is passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. Through the years, he has helped students secure spots in medical schools such as Stanford, Yale, Penn, Duke, Johns Hopkins, UCSF, and USC.
