Annie has always had a passion for mentoring and helping students. As an associate veterinarian, Inspira Advantage has been a perfect way for her to give back to the next generation of veterinarians and help young aspiring vets make their dreams come true.
At The University of Tampa, Annie studied marine biology and chemistry while working to mentor biology students and support incoming marine biology first years. After completing her Bachelor’s degree, she spent three years working with sea turtles and fisheries in Costa Rica as a marine conservationist. Knowing she wanted to return to school, she decided on veterinary school in order to meld her passions of conservation, marine animals, and animal health.
During veterinary school at Colorado State University, she was accepted into competitive programs to further her marine animal medical training, including AQUAVET and SeaVet. She also completed competitive externships such as the National Zoo, and did research with Colorado’s Parks and Wildlife fish health lab. Currently, she is an associate veterinarian working with marine animals in Hawaii and enjoys editing students’ personal statements and CVs to help them reach their dreams!

Before her graduate studies, Cady made significant contributions to various fields. She completed a teaching Fulbright scholarship in Kedah, Malaysia, through the United States Department of State. Additionally, she worked for Partners in Health, a leading global health organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., while earning her bachelor's degree at George Washington University. She completed her training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and holds an additional Master of Health Science in health economics from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Cady completed her pre-PA school hours in emergency medicine as an EMT and Emergency Room Technician at a Level-One Trauma Center in Washington, D.C., during which time she also served as teaching assistant to George Washington University undergraduate students and research assistant to leading emergency medicine physicians and GWU School of Medicine faculty.
Cady attributes much of her success to the mentorship and guidance she received from her advisors, many of whom have decades of experience as PA school and medical school deans and professors. Her goal is to pay it forward by teaching a new generation of PA students.

Ari and her husband are avid travelers. They will often go on spur-of-the-moment trips to Europe or Fiji for the weekend. They recently took the world's longest flight from JFK to Singapore for their honeymoon, which was over 18 hours long! She enjoys being outside in the sun, hiking, CrossFit, and is a huge foodie.
Ari's educational journey began at Stetson University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in integrative health science. During this time, she also obtained her license as an EMT, which laid the foundation for her future healthcare career. After working as an EMT for three years, Ari pursued her passion for patient care by attending South College School of Physician Assistant Studies.
Since graduating from PA school, Ari has been working in the emergency room at Atlanta's level 1 trauma center, where she has gained invaluable experience in providing high-quality care to patients in critical situations. Her dedication to her profession and her commitment to lifelong learning have made her an integral part of the healthcare team.
In addition to her clinical work, Ari is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. She enjoys teaching in labs at multiple PA programs, sharing her knowledge and expertise with students, and helping them develop the skills they need to succeed in their future careers. Ari also takes great pride in teaching health curriculums in elementary schools, recognizing the importance of promoting health literacy and encouraging healthy habits from a young age.
As part of the inaugural group of mentors for the mentorship program for new hires at her current job, Ari is committed to providing the guidance and support she wished she had when during the application process, while attending PA school, and starting her first job. Arjun is a medical student at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He attended undergraduate at the University of Southern California as part of the prestigious Resident Honors Program. This program allowed 20-30 high school juniors to attend college one year early with a partial tuition scholarship. Arjun graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Business Finance. Arjun is currently one of the youngest students in his graduating medical school class.
During medical school, Arjun was president of an organization in charge of 150 premedical students and organized events to help guide them through the premedical process. Aryaman backpacked in Italy, Switzerland, and France during college!
Aryaman Gupta, BSE is a merit scholar medical student at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He graduated with departmental distinction and Summa Cum Laude from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering. Aryaman worked as a bioengineer before coming to Johns Hopkins and continues to throughout medical school. He has co-founded 3 startup companies that focus on developing devices to fill technological gaps in interventional specialties.
Aryaman is an expert at carving a niche for applicants and highlighting their experiences to create a cohesive story. He has guided numerous students through the medical school application process and serves as an alumni interviewer for Duke. He has mentorship experience with students ranging from middle school to medical students. Outside of school, Aryaman loves his dog, dark chocolate Oreos (much superior to regular Oreos), watching sports, and grilling/baking.

Dr. Ashley Johnson has a BSN and a Master’s in Nursing from The University of Tennessee at Martin and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Kansas. She worked in the Neonatal ICU, Long-Term Care, and Dialysis throughout her nursing career. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and has her Certified Nurse Educator Clinical Leader certification. In 2021, she was selected in the inaugural cohort for Tennessee's 40 under 40 Rising Leaders Program.
She is presently an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. She is the Remediator Coordinator and RN-BSN Coordinator for this program. Ashley is passionate about working one-on-one with students to help them achieve their goals.

Asmaa graduated from Indiana University with two degrees in biology and international studies, with a focus on global health. After completing her undergraduate education, she worked on various research projects investigating the pathogenesis of Uterine Leiomyoma, gut-brain axis etiologies for obesity, and comparative differences of implicit bias in US and UK healthcare systems. These experiences nurtured her passion for mentoring students.
After graduating, Asmaa spent a year working as a medical associate at Roche Diagnostics and volunteering at Trinity Free Clinic in her hometown. While working on her master’s thesis, Asmaa focused on identifying admission rates, readmission rates, and risk factors for dermatology-related hospitalizations for those experiencing homelessness in the US. This research reflects her dedication to addressing health disparities and promoting health equity, further showcasing her dedication to making a positive impact in the field of medicine.
During her undergraduate years, Asmaa was heavily involved in campus life, participating in various organizations such as TEDx, Advocates for Science, Wells Volunteer and Activism Effort, IU Journal of Undergraduate Research, and IU Student Government. In her spare time, Audrey enjoys EDM music and travels to music festivals with her fiancé. They share their home with a cat named Frank and a Husky-German Shepherd mix named Gator. Active and adventurous, Audrey loves hiking and skiing in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
Born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, Audrey always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Her passion for animals led her to the University of Florida for her undergraduate studies, where she double-majored in Animal Science and Spanish Language. During her time there, Audrey not only excelled academically, but also gained valuable hands-on experience by volunteering at local small animal clinics and working overnight shifts as a research assistant on a canine gene therapy study.
Despite the challenges she faced during her junior year, including a car accident that left her unable to walk for six months, Audrey's resilience and determination saw her through, helping her to achieve a 4.0 GPA. At the end of her senior year, she was awarded the Greek Academic Achievement Award—the highest academic honor in Greek Life.
After being admitted to several veterinary schools across the country, Audrey decided on a new adventure and moved to California to attend the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She focused her studies on the small animal track and used her time away from studies to explore California and have unique experiences that kept her motivated.
Audrey is now a successful veterinarian, who has worked in various capacities including small animal general practice, corporate medicine, urgent care/emergency medicine, vaccine clinics, and at-home hospice and euthanasia services. As an admissions coach, she is passionate about guiding prospective veterinary students, believing that authenticity and personal growth are key to success.

Auriel recently learned to speak French and now speaks at an intermediate level and often visits France.
Having successfully navigated the dental school application process herself, Auriel discovered a passion for guiding others through the same rewarding yet challenging journey. She understands the importance of breaking down large goals into smaller, manageable steps and prioritizes helping students organize their tasks in a way that builds confidence and ensures progress.
As a coach, Auriel excels at providing targeted advice, unwavering support, and a steady hand to guide students toward achieving their dreams of becoming dental professionals. She also offers comprehensive interview preparation, drawing upon her firsthand knowledge to put students at ease and help them present their best selves. By familiarizing students with what to expect during the interview, highlighting examples of popular questions, and providing tips for authentically showcasing their personalities, Auriel empowers her students to approach the interview with confidence and poise.

While I am a home body at heart, I was fortunate to study abroad at the University of Glasgow, where I experienced my first cadaver lab and developed a training manual for a local community gym while exploring Scotland's eight cities. Needless to say, I was not in Colorado anymore!
Austin Johnson graduated from the University of Denver Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and minors in Leadership Studies, Medical Physics, Chemistry, and Psychology. He scored in the 99.9th percentile on the MCAT and utilized similar study strategies to achieve a 260+ USMLE Step 1 score. Austin is currently a medical student at the Stanford University School of Medicine pursuing a research year investigating novel topical treatments for Epidermolysis Bullosa Simplex (EBS) and validating clinical severity scoring tools for future EBS interventional studies. His professional interests extend into health disparities and medical education both on campus and in the community.
Austin’s passion for mentorship has culminated in a diverse set of experiences ranging from intensive one-on-one sessions with prospective professional students to leading large group events designed to level the playing field in test-taking, research, and the admissions process as a member of the Leadership in Health Disparities and Stanford Clinical Summer Internship programs. As a future Dermatologist from a rural Colorado town with zero immediate or extended family members in healthcare, he is excited to guide the next generation of physician leaders in achieving their goals no matter their background. Outside of being a medical student, Austin loves partaking in athletics, lifting weights, becoming immersed in movies, and exploring new food spots with his future wife.

I have 2 border collies who are the center of my world. Favorites include live music (especially with my best friends from vet school), hiking, rugby, and collecting antique books.
Becky is currently pursuing a PhD at Texas A&M University, researching mRNA-based therapeutics for equine infectious diseases. She had always wanted to be a veterinarian and graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a BS in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on bioelectrics and biosignals. While at WPI, work in Tanzania and at a NICU in Worcester drove her passion to design medical devices for infants, and she went into industry but after a year, was drawn back to veterinary medicine. She left for west Texas and attended Sul Ross State University, initially with the goal of finishing out pre-requisites, but ultimately developing a passion for horses, helping run the equine science program, and earning a MS in equine science. This was only made possible through the help of some fine teachers and mentors along the way.
She found her place at Kansas State Veterinary School. There, she fell in love with equine internal medicine by working in the hospital, with clinical pathology through the passion of a remarkable professor, and practical boots-on-the-ground research with a few hot summers with cattle. After weighing the decision to pursue a PhD in veterinary education and teaching simulators, she elected to follow her love of internal medicine and foals to a private practice internship, followed by internal medicine residency at Auburn University. It was there that she really dug into her passion for medicine and teaching, and found interesting cases, caring mentors, and family. Again, she was lucky to be taught by some of the very best and she wants to pay it forward. Following residency, she was lucky to find an opportunity to combine her favorite things-- biomedical research, internal medicine, and foals—into an exciting PhD program.
Becky has taken a winding path and has made connections throughout many different levels of veterinary medicine and the biomedical field. Through this journey, she has mentored pre-veterinary students for the past 15 years and been a teacher even longer. Apart from his academic and community service pursuits, Ben loves to hike, ski, play chess, travel, and run! Since starting medical school, Ben has completed one marathon and two ultra-marathons (50, 66 miles)!
Born and raised in a suburb of Seattle, Ben pursued his passion for Neuroscience and Molecular Biology at Colorado State University. There, he honed his skills under the tutelage of his grandparents, who are both respected professors at the university. As an undergraduate student, Ben distinguished himself by majoring in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience and actively participating in four years of molecular biology lab research. His research primarily focused on Alzheimer's disease and rodent brain-slice culture, leading to a prestigious first-author publication during his junior year.
Ben's zest for life is not confined to the lab. As an active member of the college community, he served as Vice-President of the University Run Club and President of the Neuroscience Student Organization. Apart from academics and physical pursuits, Ben extended his empathy to communities abroad. He studied in Livingstone, Zambia, where he worked in local schools and health clinics and embarked on adventurous escapades including bungee-jumping off Victoria Falls and an overnight Safari in Botswana.
Ben's commendable achievements include two Goldwater Scholarship Honorable mentions, which is indicative of his academic strength and commitment to the field. Upon completing his undergraduate studies, Ben applied to various MD and MD-PhD programs, accepting an offer from the University of Southern California for an MD-PhD program.

Benji has been an avid runner since the eighth grade, competing in track and cross country, joining the Texas Running Club in college, and founding the Southwestern Running Club in medical school. He has raced in both marathons and ultra-marathons during medical school, and he hopes to qualify for the Boston Marathon this upcoming season.
He also loves to read and write, a passion of his since before he can remember. Just like dessert after a filling meal, Benji always finds space to read for pleasure after a long day of lectures or medical textbooks. He is currently reading "Godfather" by Mario Puzo, "Call of the Wild" by Jack London, and "Caterpillar Dogs" by Tennessee Williams. In addition to medical note writing, Benji likes to create short stories, poems, and prose.
Finally, Benji loves winding down with either guitar or piano (or, if he's lucky, both!). He learned piano as a child but stopped playing in high school; the piano at the UT Southwestern Student Center inspired him to give it another try. He is more consistent with guitar, playing every day since he finished studying for the MCAT several years ago (one of the best and few self-gifts he's made). He's currently working on "Imagine" by The Beatles on piano and "Monsters" by James Blunt on guitar.

While studying neural circuits, Archana worked at a syringe exchange in Ithaca, New York, where she witnessed firsthand the mechanics of court-based drug rehabilitation. Jay graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and an emphasis in Engineering Mathematics. While at Saint Louis University, he spent four years conducting research in the spheres of soft tissue engineering and microfluidics, in addition to founding the Engineering Health Collaborative, an organization focused on the development of low-cost medical devices for medically underserved countries. He was also a pre-medical fellow with the Atlantis Project in Athens, Greece during the summer and worked on a new entrepreneurial venture to develop a novel preventative medical device for catheter-associated urinary tract infections.
Later on, he became a Fulbright Scholar at the Medical University of Warsaw in Poland. While there, he spent two years teaching at the university level in the premedical sphere and was blessed with the opportunity to be a speaker on the stage of TEDx Warsaw.
