Alisha is a medical student at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, earning her Bachelor's in Bioengineering. 

During her undergrad, Alisha helped develop numerous medical device prototypes and applications, such as a novel prosthetic thumb and a low-cost EMR system for oncology clinics in Botswana, both of which have received multiple awards. She also worked for a healthcare startup company, where she assisted in developing affordable telemedicine platforms. Outside of class, Alisha led tennis and dance lessons for community members with autism and volunteered her time to conduct free kidney disease screenings for underserved populations in Philadelphia. 

As an admissions interviewer and coach, she thoroughly understands the admissions process and what it takes to get into one's dream school. She knows the value of a strong pre-med portfolio and is passionate about guiding students through their application and setting Advantage students up for success.

Alisha has maintained her passion for innovation and engineering. She works closely with a team of clinicians to devise a vibrating needle to reduce postoperative injection pain and tissue damage. Alisha is also an instructor for Move4Health–an organization that provides free group exercise classes for individuals with chronic illnesses. In her spare time, she organizes fun science lessons for a kindergarten class in a local Philadelphia school!

Ally graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Science. She went on to earn her Master's in Physician Assistant studies at Stony Brook University. There, she served as the Physician Assistant Student Society Secretary and as a member of the admission committee interviewing prospective PA applicants. Recognized for her scholarly achievements, Ally was selected as a member of the Alpha Eta National Honor Society for Allied Health Professions and received the Henry and Marsha Laufer scholarship.

Before starting her PA studies, Ally acquired thousands of hours of clinical experience in family practice, OB/GYN, and home health care for individuals with neurodegenerative disorders. She has always been driven by a passion for community service. This is evident in her role as community service chair for her PA school class and her various leadership roles in the undergraduate service fraternity Epsilon Sigma Alpha. Ally is currently an active member of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

As an admissions coach, Ally is particularly passionate about mentorship within the PA profession. She understands how challenging and selective the application process can be, and she enjoys sharing her experience to help future PAs. Her strengths as an admissions coach include highlighting applicants' strengths, breaking down the application process into manageable steps, and helping applicants shine during interviews.

Ally grew up near Madison, Wisconsin, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a senior honors thesis. During her undergrad, she worked for multiple years as a direct care professional in a group home for adults with disabilities. Ally has also served on the Student Admissions Team at UCLA David Geffen and has been involved in multiple interview days for prospective students.

Ally is passionate about healthcare and is currently conducting research at the intersection of women's health and diabetes prevention. She is committed to working with students looking to apply to their dream medical school.

Ally has dedicated a lot of time to peer tutoring other students for exams and recently scored over the 95th percentile on Step 2. For three years, Ally was the supervisor of a group home during the COVID-19 pandemic; she managed 15 staff members and spent a lot of time navigating health appointments, insurance, and administrative work for the residents.

Alyanna is currently pursuing her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at Elon University, where she is gaining valuable clinical experience. Prior to Elon, she completed her undergraduate degree at UCLA. 

Throughout her educational journey, Alyanna has developed a passion for taking care of people. She eagerly looks forward to serving as a PA and is currently enjoying her Internal Medicine rotation in Charlotte, NC. Alyanna, originally from the Philippines, spent most of her life in Los Angeles before discovering the beauty of North Carolina at Elon University.

Alyanna leverages her experiences of applying to multiple schools and navigating her path to PA school to guide prospective students as an admissions coach. Her strengths lie in her resilience and adaptability, as well as her ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.

Alyssa graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders and a minor in Music Studies. Alyssa is a proud graduate of the Physician Assistant program at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.

During her undergraduate studies, Alyssa planned to pursue a career as a speech-language pathologist in the hospital setting. However, a class in medical speech pathology ignited her interest in medicine and led her to change course. Over the next two years, she attended college year-round to complete the necessary prerequisites for PA school. Alyssa's dedication to time management and efficiency is something she hopes to impart to those she mentors as an admissions coach.

Alyssa and her husband faced the unique challenge of simultaneously applying to PA and medical school, hoping to be accepted in the same city. This experience provided Alyssa with extensive knowledge about various PA programs and medical schools nationwide. Fortunately, Alyssa was accepted into the PA program at Midwestern University, while her husband was accepted into medical school at the University of Arizona.

Alyssa is now a passionate Physician Assistant working in plastic surgery. She specializes in breast reconstruction for women who have had mastectomies due to breast cancer. As an admissions coach, she serves as a guide, sounding board, and mentor, assisting applicants throughout their journey to becoming a PA. Alyssa is friendly, responsive, and committed to supporting her clients in achieving their goals.

Dr. Alyssa, a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Vermont and her BVetMed from the Royal Veterinary College in London. She currently practices at a mid-sized, corporate small-animal general practice in central Massachusetts, specializing in neurology, endocrinology, and client education.

Alyssa's passion for mentorship stems from her own experiences navigating the application process for both domestic and international vet schools. She understands and empathizes with the complexities of the process, and she has assisted numerous students with their vet school applications, from essay editing to school selection and liaising with admissions committees.

As an admissions coach, Alyssa excels in breaking down this challenging process into accessible, manageable steps to ease the stress of application. She's keen on helping students showcase their unique strengths and skills to present the strongest possible application. Having recently navigated the application process herself, Alyssa offers relevant, timely advice and guidance.

Amam graduated from the University of Iowa in 2019 with a BS in Human Physiology. He is currently in his first year of Dental School at The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry. Amam has a diverse background when it comes to involvement in areas such as research, internships, working background, and community service. Amam took a gap year after graduating from undergrad to work as a dental assistant and manage his family’s convenience store.

Amam was born in Barcelona, Spain, and immigrated to the U.S. in 2001 at the age of 4. He comes from a Pakistani family and has lived his life moving throughout the Midwest. Amam spent most of his life growing up in the rural community of Keokuk, Iowa.

Amam participated in MHIRT (Minority Health-Disparities International Research Training) Internship in the summer of 2018 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Amam’s research project consisted of recording the association between tobacco usage and dental malocclusion in the patient population.

Amam also participated in SHPEP (Summer Health Professions Education Program) at the University of Iowa in 2017. In SHPEP, Amam gained clinical exposure and learned about the social determinants of health with a heightened emphasis on collaboration across health professions. Amam has been passionate about helping underrepresented students find their way to their respective programs. He has mentored students in orientation-based programs and held executive office positions in organizations that help students receive proper information on applying to medical, dental, and pharmacy programs.

In dental school, Amam held the position of president for his class and currently holds the position of communications chair in the Orthodontics Club at the College of Dentistry. Amam is currently starting his research project in craniofacial microsomia and cleft lip and palate genetics.

Amanda is a bilingual (English/Spanish) graduate of the University of Utah (BS), Tufts University School of Medicine PA Program (MMs), and Butler University Doctorate of Medical Science program. She is currently an urgent care PA, but her ultimate career goal is to become a PA educator.

Amanda gained extensive EMS and EMS education experience prior to PA school. She has worked in occupational medicine/urgent care, rural medicine, outpatient cardiology, inpatient pediatric psychiatry, and COVID-19 clinical research. Amanda’s undergraduate degree is in Speech and Hearing Science, and she was originally planning to become a speech-language pathologist. Her plans changed during her junior year of college when she discovered (and immediately fell in love with) the PA profession.

On the Inspira team, Amanda is an excellent resource for students pursuing the PA profession. She is passionate about the PA field and helping young hopefuls achieve their academic goals. Amanda aims to use her experience to boost each aspect of her student’s applications, helping them get into their dream program!

Amanda majored in Nutritional Sciences and minored in Health Disparities in Society at the University of Florida. After receiving a 25 Total Science score on the DAT, with a score of 30 on the Organic Chemistry section, she was offered admission to several prestigious dental schools, including UCLA, USC, UPenn, and Harvard. She ultimately chose the latter and is currently pursuing her DMD there. 

Some of Amanda’s most noteworthy experiences include working as an expanded functions dental assistant at a general dentistry practice and volunteering at the Florida Mission of Mercy and FreeD.O.M. Clinic. She also served as a research assistant in a clinical lab specializing in precision ketogenic therapy for patients with intractable epilepsy.

At HSDM, Amanda is an Admissions Ambassador who provides guided tours of the dental school campus and participates in Q&A panels for interviewees. Her role offers an insightful perspective on the traits dental schools are looking for in future candidates. It has also allowed her to give mock interviews and personal statement feedback to aspiring dental students. 

In college, Amanda was also actively involved in the public speaking community as a speaker coach for TEDxUF and as a speech judge for the nationally recognized Florida Blue Key Speech & Debate Tournament. She is now a speech judge at the Harvard National Speech and Debate Tournament. Leveraging her experience coaching speakers for TEDx Talks and public speaking, Amanda hopes to help students articulate their own unique stories when interviewing and applying to dental school.

Amanda excels at helping students put their best foot forward in their applications. Drawing from her extensive admissions and coaching experience, she ensures that students can effectively showcase their greatest strengths while addressing any weaknesses.

Amanda completed her undergraduate degree in athletic training from Duquesne University followed by her physician assistant training at Elon University. In her current role at Emory Healthcare, she has made significant contributions to patient care, including the development of a fracture liaison service that connects patients with recent insufficiency fractures to endocrinology for the management of osteoporosis.

Throughout her journey as a PA, Amanda has provided shadowing opportunities and been a valuable resource for students seeking advice on the application process and the profession as a whole. Her enthusiasm for the field and dedication to helping others succeed make her an ideal mentor for those who are passionate about becoming physician assistants.

Amanda's greatest strength as a counselor is her ability to help students identify their own strengths and break down the complex PA school application process into manageable tasks. Drawing from her personal experiences as a swimming coach and her extensive work with GAPA, she is skilled at providing guidance and support to prospective PA students at every stage of their journey.

Amy holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and an MBA from the Citadel. She completed her undergraduate studies at the College of Charleston, where she earned an accelerated Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

During her time at MUSC, Amy was actively engaged in leading the Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) as its President. She was also nominated by her peers to join Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS), the pharmacy leadership society, and selected for the Presidential Scholars Program, where she tackled pressing health care issues. Amy completed internships as the Science Communications and Marketing Intern at OneSkin and the Innovation Intern at Cetaphil, honing her skills in various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. She also served as a student ambassador, where she gave tours and answered questions from pre-pharmacy students. 

As an admissions coach, Amy is passionate about helping pre-pharmacy students navigate the challenging, confusing, and often stressful admissions process. With her vast experience and knowledge, Amy is eager to support her clients in their pursuit of excellence throughout the application process, ensuring they reach their goal of being accepted into pharmacy school.

During her time at the University of Maine, Ana volunteered with several philanthropic societies: Operation H.E.A.R.T.S and Medical Outreach Maine, where she became passionate about expanding medical care through medical teaching opportunities. This passion brought her to serve as president of her university’s local chapter of Partners for World Health, where she traveled to Uganda to help serve local and refugee obstetric populations with prenatal education and care.

Prior to attending the Yale School of Medicine Physician Associate Program, Ana honed her patient care skills as a clinical trial coordinator at Boston Children’s Hospital and as a nursing assistant at Dirigo Pines retirement community. These experiences gave her a strong foundation in patient care and a deep passion for health education.

Ana’s commitment to mentorship and education is evident in her diverse experiences, from intensive one-on-one sessions with prospective professional students to leading large group events to level the playing field in the admissions process. As a PA from a rural Maine town with no immediate or extended family members in healthcare, she is excited to guide the next generation of physician assistant leaders in achieving their goals, no matter their background.

Before PA school, Andrea graduated summa cum laude with a BA in biology from Franklin Pierce University while playing college ice hockey. During her gap year, she was the Hiring Manager for ScribeAmerica for seven varying medical specialties and managed and mentored 45 employees, most of whom were pre-med or pre-PA. As a pediatric neurosurgery PA transitioning to urology PA, she held several leadership roles in surgical safety research and child advocacy. 

Andrea graduated as valedictorian from the Marietta College Physician Assistant program. During her time there, she was a member of the student government and presented Grand Rounds at various clinical rotations. She was also responsible for interviewing and providing tours to applicants. 

As a coach, Andrea is a firm believer that personal statements are the heart of an application. She is a creative writer in her free time and has seen firsthand how personal statements are the heart of an application when there are thousands of applications to review. She prides herself on her ability to help students craft excellent personal statements to make their applications stand out amongst the crowd. She also excels at helping students develop and strengthen their interview skills to ensure they make a lasting impression on their interviewers. 

Andrew is completing his medical studies at The Ohio State University while simultaneously participating in a prestigious year-long research fellowship at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. Andrew has a rich academic background with a degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Mathematics from Pomona College. While at Pomona, Andrew displayed his leadership skills as the captain of the varsity football and baseball teams. He also held various leadership positions on campus and participated in neuroscience research through the David Prober lab at Caltech. 

Andrew's gap year after graduation saw him gain more clinical and research experience. He scribed in an emergency department and worked at start-ups within two medical specialties: radiology and ophthalmology. As a medical student, Andrew discovered a new passion for orthopedics and orthopedic research, leading him to serve as president of the OSU American Medical Association chapter, president of the Honors and Professionalism Council, and a peer tutor. His exemplary work made him a member of the Gold Humanism Honors Society.

As a coach, Andrew has successfully guided pre-med students through their application process. His strengths lie in his ability to communicate effectively, strategize, and provide objective feedback to applicants. He is passionate about sharing the knowledge he has gained over the years and hopes to continue doing so. Andrew looks forward to working with you and helping you achieve your dreams!

He has a startup valued at $12 million which focuses on providing affordable vision care across the US, has >20 peer-reviewed publications, and is looking to continue to help others in their medical careers.

Originally from the greater Pittsburgh area, Andrew went to public school all his life and attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he majored in computational chemistry with a focus in biology. He conducted research through the Department of Biomedical Informatics, where he published a paper in Scientific Reports on long non-coding RNA SNHG7 and its impact on breast cancer. He graduated in three years from Pitt and went straight to medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During his first year there, he joined multiple research labs focusing on large-data analysis and machine learning.

He also co-founded Retina Technologies Inc., a company aimed to disrupt vision care by leveraging virtual reality, retinal imaging, and machine learning onto a portable platform to provide affordable, accessible, and accurate vision screening across the country. He served as the CTO of the company, spearheading four clinical trials, submitting three provisional patents and one non-provisional PCT patent, and built both the hardware and software from the ground up. He has continued his involvement in both his research and the company throughout all four years of medical school and is applying to residency programs for Anesthesiology. 

After finishing his undergraduate degree in computer science at UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!), Anil attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, he completed General Practice and Oral Medicine residencies. Afterward, he practiced in hospital, community health, and academic settings. Anil has served on the admissions committees at both Harvard and his residency program.

In addition to my dental training, Anil also completed a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and has technical certifications in Data Science and Business Analytics. In 2020, he transitioned out of teaching and patient care to pursue a career in Healthcare Analytics.

Anil feels that his experience applying to dental school was quite stressful and lonely, as he did not have any support in the form of a pre-dental advisor for guidance and advice. He looks forward to serving as a mentor, so students do not have to feel isolated during the application journey.

Anjali is currently pursuing a dual PA/MPH at Tufts University, bringing a unique perspective to the Inspira team as an admissions coach. She has a profound background in Neurobiology, with her undergraduate degree earned from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Anjali's initial career path led her to a healthcare media company where she coordinated educational conferences for hospital CEOs. She then transitioned to clinical work at Northwestern Medicine as a research coordinator in rheumatology. Her career took a turn towards the non-profit sector with MEDLIFE, where she led volunteers in mobile medical clinics in medically underserved communities in rural Cusco, Peru.

This experience fueled Anjali's passion and determined her career goal: working with grassroots organizations to enhance healthcare access and fairness whilst providing hands-on care for patients. These experiences led her back to the US to apply to PA/MPH dual degree programs. Anjali is now thrilled to use her valuable experience to help prospective PAs achieve their career goals. She is a firm believer in the PA profession's potential to increase healthcare access, advocating for increased diversity in the field.

Anjan holds a dual degree in Neuroscience and Music Composition from Northwestern University. He is currently pursuing his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University and intends to specialize in OB/GYN.

Anjan began his scientific journey as a high school student, conducting lab research during his summers within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Feinberg School of Medicine. These experiences not only fostered his curiosity for medicine but also led to his involvement in various research publications. As a medical student at Case Western, Anjan continues to demonstrate his dedication to scientific discovery while also maintaining a strong commitment to education. His passion for both learning and teaching has led him to serve as a leader in Case Western’s Horizons Mentoring Program, where he mentors both undergraduate and high school students with interests in healthcare sciences.

Aside from his pursuits in the medicine field, Anjan's interests extend to the world of art and music, an area he has continually merged with his passion for healthcare. During his time at Northwestern University, he directed a documentary film that shed light on food insecurity amongst college students. He has also scored several films throughout college and medical school, collaborated with local Cleveland musicians, and released music on various streaming platforms. Perhaps most notably, he has founded an organization dedicated to teaching music production to children who have been victims of violent trauma, demonstrating the synthesis of his commitment to both healthcare and the arts.

As a counselor, Anjan's broad spectrum of experiences allows him to bring a unique perspective to his mentees. His diverse background in science, music, and mentoring equip him with the ability to guide aspiring healthcare professionals on their journey. He strives to ensure students not only excel academically but also develop their unique passions, just as he has.

Anna is a fourth-year medical student at Rush Medical College in Chicago. She has combined academic excellence, leadership, and community service throughout her educational journey. During her undergraduate years at the University of St. Thomas, Anna excelled as a tutor and led the Biology Club, nurturing academic growth and camaraderie among her peers. Despite a full-time college schedule, she also worked as a medical scribe in the emergency department, demonstrating remarkable time management skills.

Anna's passion lies in mentoring future medical students. Her collaboration with the medical school admissions team and one-on-one work with applicants throughout the admission process is a testament to her dedication. As an experienced mentor, she has played an advisory role to her junior peers, assisting them with board preparation and building holistic resumes. Her striking performance in medical school earned her a Role-Based Distinction award for leadership, underlining her ability to inspire and guide others.

Anna's contribution to the medical community extends beyond academics and leadership. She has played an integral role in research and quality improvement projects, influencing changes in hospital policy. Anna received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Saginaw Valley State University. She attended SVSU on a full-ride President’s scholarship. She then went on to receive a Master’s in Nursing from the University of Arizona. Throughout her nursing career, she has gained experience in emergency, progressive care, telemetry, pediatrics, and medical-surgical. 

Passionate about leadership and teaching, Anna also serves as a student and new graduate preceptor, where she imparts her knowledge and skills to the next generation of nurses. She draws on this experience when she mentors aspiring nursing students, providing them with valuable insights on how to lead fulfilling academic and professional careers.

One of Anna’s greatest strengths as a coach is her ability to engage students. She believes the most important part of learning is having fun. With a dynamic and interactive approach, she ensures students stay motivated and are excited about their studies.

As a student, Anna was a member of several honor societies, including the Phi Delta Epsilon medical fraternity, the Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honor Society, the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the Emergency Nurses Association, underscoring her commitment to excellence, professional development, and community engagement.

Aanika obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and then went on to pursue her MD and MPH in Epidemiology/Biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins University. She is currently an internal medicine resident at the Johns Hopkins Osler Internal Medicine Training Program and applying for hematology/oncology fellowship programs.

Aanika's fascination with the medical field began during her undergraduate years when she was part of a breast cancer research lab for four years. This experience solidified her interest in oncology and led her to medical school at Johns Hopkins University. During her medical education, she was recognized with several scholarships and took some time off to delve deeper into epidemiology/biostatistics through a fully funded MPH degree program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

As an internal medicine resident, Aanika has not only honed her skills as an internist but also continued to explore her passion for oncology. Alongside, she has authored over 10 peer-reviewed publications, worked as an academic advisor for pre-medical students and served on the medical admissions committee at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Aanika brings to the table meticulous attention to detail and a vast experience of working with students. She is ardent about helping students achieve their goals and envisages a career in academic oncology.

Aditya is a current radiology resident at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He attended Duke University for undergrad, majoring in neuroscience, and attended the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine for medical school. He has had significant research experience, ranging from computational neuroscience in undergrad to artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and health services research in medical school.

Aditya has published extensively on these topics and continues to be academically productive in these areas. He has formally mentored several premedical and pre-physician assistant students through the admissions process and is also well-versed in residency applications.

Dr. Charles began his academic journey in biomedical engineering at the illustrious Duke University, before earning his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. His academic excellence led to his induction into the Tau Beta Pi engineering honors society during his undergraduate years.

While pursuing his medical degree, Charles developed a keen interest in vascular biology, leading him to further explore this area through extensive research on the VEGFR2 receptor pathway. His valuable contribution was acknowledged with the prestigious Surgical Skills Award and the Eugene Stead Research Scholarship. Following his passion for vascular biology, he completed his residency training in Vascular Surgery at the University of Massachusetts.

Today, Charles applies his knowledge and skills in the New York City area, where he has built a successful career as a Vascular Surgeon. His dedication to his field, combined with his rigorous academic background, makes him an invaluable resource for aspiring medical students. As an admissions coach, he is committed to sharing his insights and experiences to help students navigate the complex medical school admissions process.

Deanna is a general surgery resident at New York-Presbyterian Queens - Weill Cornell Medicine. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. After her undergraduate education, she attended medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas Campus. Deanna is originally from the Northeast and made her way back by matching at NYPQ for general surgery residency. Within her residency program, she was nominated as a member of the Residency Council, responsible for acting as a liaison between the residents and administration to improve resident life. While in medical school, she acted as a mentor to first-year medical students. She would help them with time management, study tips, and tutoring in the anatomy lab. Before medical school, Deanna worked in a high school as a special education inclusion aid, helping students keep up in class by hosting small group teaching sessions and individualizing approaches to meet the students' personal needs for success. Deanna is approachable and ready to help you achieve your dreams.

Dike is an MD candidate at Tufts University School of Medicine with plans to work as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. He was born in Nigeria, raised in Dallas, Texas, and completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Connecticut. 

Dike is the middle child of five siblings and is the first of his family to earn a college degree. During his undergrad, he excelled academically while working full-time, earning him a spot on the dean's list over consecutive semesters. He later completed an intensive internship at Yale University School of Medicine in preparation for his application process. 

With this diverse collection of experiences, Dike brings a unique perspective as a coach. He is easily able to connect with students from various backgrounds. He aims to build a strong alliance with Advantage students, working hand in hand to set them up for success as they embark on their own personal journey into medicine.

Before beginning his residency, Dr. Kolli earned his MD degree from the University of Michigan and his MPH from Harvard University. With experience at various prestigious institutions across the country, Dr. Kolli is well-equipped to assist applicants interested in schools in any region.

During his time at the University of Michigan Medical School, Dr. Kolli achieved 100th percentile scores on the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 board exams, received the Charles and Phyllis Lowe Merit Scholarship, was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society, and graduated with Distinction in Research Honors. He has conducted a wide array of research at both Michigan and Harvard, resulting in numerous publications and academic conference presentations in fields such as ophthalmology, epidemiology, and health economics. Dr. Kolli has also worked as a consultant in the biotechnology industry, helping move new drugs toward FDA approval.

As an admissions coach, Dr. Kolli's strengths lie in his diverse academic interests and ability to help applicants from varied backgrounds craft a cohesive narrative about their experiences. Having navigated the medical school admissions process himself and co-founded The Lens, an educational resource for aspiring ophthalmologists, he is passionate about guiding applicants in telling their stories.

Dr. Podury is currently an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery resident at the University of California San Diego. Before beginning her residency, she earned a BA in neuroscience from Cornell University, where she was a Hunter R. Rawlings Presidential Research Scholar, Barry M. Goldwater Scholar Honorable Mention, and a Phi Beta Kappa member. She earned her MD from Harvard Medical School in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program.

During her time at Cornell, Dr. Podury earned several awards in recognition of her research, including the Einhorn Discovery Grant, the Zuckerman Prize for Excellence in Bioengineering Research, the Ewing Family Service Award, and the Menschell Cornell Commitment Award. While studying neural circuits, Archana worked at a syringe exchange in Ithaca, New York, where she witnessed firsthand the mechanics of court-based drug rehabilitation. Listening to patients’ stories deepened her conviction that science alone could not capture multiple dimensions of health and disease, which paved her path toward medicine.

At Harvard, Dr. Podury received $90,000 in scholarship support as a Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow and David Margin Graduate Student Leadership Fellow; she was also a recipient of the Massachusetts Medical Society Information Technology Award and Freeberg Student Research Award. Her work has centered on developing technologies to improve patient’s quality of life. In the Boyden Lab at MIT, she used optical imaging methods to characterize circuit dysfunction in human brain organoid models of neurodevelopmental disease, culminating in a publication in Nature. 

Dr. Podury worked in the Dhand Lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to apply network science tools to understand how patients’ social environments influence their health outcomes during disability. She is currently working in the Otopathology lab at Massachusetts Eye & Ear to study implant options for patients with sensorineural hearing loss and is applying machine learning methods to study surgical outcomes.

As an admissions coach, she enjoys listening to students' stories and is committed to helping them communicate their interests genuinely and in alignment with their values.

Dr. Park graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with the highest honors and a research distinction. At UGA, he rowed for the UGA Crew Team, led over 8 campus organizations, led the genetic engineering team to a gold medal at an international competition against >300 teams, interned at the Institute for Disaster Management, established the UGA STEM Research Alliance, and was awarded the Presidential Award of Excellence as one of the overall top 1% graduate students. He also had several international study and healthcare experiences in South Korea, Spain, and Vietnam as a Freeman-Asia Scholar and a visiting student intern.

At Vanderbilt, Dr. Park led several mentoring, patient care, and advocacy initiatives. He was the director of the Shade Tree Plastic Surgery & Wound Care clinic, which provides free care to underserved patients who require plastic surgery procedures and wound care in Nashville, TN.  To improve patient care and access, he served as a subcommittee leader on the Vanderbilt Medical Center’s High-Value Care Committee and as a board member of the Vanderbilt Tennessee Medical Association chapter. He mentored students from various backgrounds and interests when he served as the leader of the Plastic Surgery Interest Group. During this time, he also served as a medical writer for the Journal of Medical Insight. 

Before residency, he also completed a dual research fellowship as a fully funded Vanderbilt Medical Scholar in Plastic Surgery and Hematology/Oncology, where he researched patient-reported outcomes measures, biomedical ethics, and immune checkpoint inhibitors. This research resulted in >20 publications, numerous podium and poster presentations at national and international meetings, several major international studies, and a grant from the National Center for Advancing Translational Science. Several of his works were published in high-impact journals such as JAMA Pediatrics and featured in news outlets. 

As a first-generation physician and the son of immigrant parents, Dr. Park has the lived experience to help guide others who are on a similar path. His greatest strengths include his ability to work with all types of candidates due to the diverse experiences he’s encountered in most general premed activities, including athletics, research, community service, experiences abroad, teaching, social advocacy, legislation, medical employment, etc. These experiences have allowed him to successfully match into a top-tier medical school and residency program.

Dr. Hasjim received his undergraduate and medical education from UC Irvine and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Northwestern University. Throughout his own journey through medicine, he realized that navigating through a career path in medicine can be complex and he is passionate about making the medical school admissions process as transparent as possible. His dedication and outstanding performance earned him prestigious accolades such as Excellence in Research Honors and the Chancellor's Award of Distinction.

During his undergraduate years at UC Irvine, Bima developed a proven track record of academic productivity and service to the community. For his work in research, community service, and academic achievements, he was awarded Excellence in Research Honors and the Chancellor’s Award of Distinction – given to only 28 undergraduate students out of 8,662 students in the graduating class. When Bima matriculated into medical school at UC Irvine, he found his calling in surgery and was awarded the Dr. J. Gordon Hatfield Department of Surgery Award and the Vincent P. Carroll, Jr. Award for Outstanding Research upon graduation.

Dr. Mercado’s passion for mentoring and teaching began early in her academic career. As an undergraduate at MIT, she was recognized as one of 25 Burchard Scholars in her year for her outstanding achievements in the arts, humanities, social sciences, science, and engineering. Additionally, she was inducted as an MIT Class of 2009 Community Catalyst Leader for her extensive involvement in mentoring, teaching, and developing advising workshops for freshmen. 

Dr. Mercado obtained her medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. During her time in medical school, she completed a research year as an international fellow at the Keio University School of Medicine. Her research project examined the history of traditional medicine in Japan and its integration into the modern Japanese medical system. This project was partly funded by the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Dean’s Grant and through a scholarship from the International Chamber of Innovation, Commerce & Enterprise in Japan.

As an admissions consultant, Dr. Mercado's greatest strength lies in her firsthand experience with the medical school and residency admissions process. Her insider knowledge, combined with her own success in navigating the competitive world of medical education, allows her to provide invaluable insights and guidance to her students.

Beyond her clinical and academic achievements, Dr. Mercado is a well-rounded individual with a passion for global health and the arts. She has traveled to multiple countries, including Myanmar, the Philippines, and Belize, to participate in vision screenings and to teach eye surgery and the basics of pediatric eye care as invited faculty. Additionally, she is an accomplished artist who uses her art as a medium for health literacy education and empowerment, showcasing her creativity and dedication to patient care.

Prior to residency, Dr. McKenzie graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology. While at Stanford, Dr. McKenzie was elected Class President, participated in several clinical trials, and counseled pre-med students as a Student Advisor. 

After graduating from Stanford University, Dr. McKenzie took a gap year and worked as a Research Associate at 23andMe. During his gap year, Dr. McKenzie developed studies that empowered patients to better understand the impact of genetics on their disease. 

Following his gap year, Dr. McKenzie enrolled at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. While in medical school, he actively participated in the Office of Admissions. He served as a Senior Student Interviewer, Ambassador for the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and member of the Queers & Allies Association. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on topics including health disparities, sun protection, and atopic dermatitis. Dr. McKenzie graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. 

Dr. McKenzie has years of experience assisting students as they seek scholarship opportunities and pursue careers in medicine. He is an enthusiastic member of the Inspira Team and looks forward to working with future mentees.

Before medical school, Dr. Lee graduated with departmental honors in Biology from Vassar College, where he was also Captain of the EMS agency. During his gap year, he worked as a research assistant at Northwell Health in Thoracic Surgery, managing a lung cancer database and publishing a paper on the benefits of robotic surgery for lung cancer. During his last year in medical school, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society for excellence in academic performance and leadership. He will also be graduating with a Certificate of Special Proficiency in Medical Ultrasound.

Dr. Lee has always had a passion for medical education and helping students achieve their goals. He has mentored numerous pre-medical students at all points in the process of preparing to apply to medical school, from first-year college students to set them up favorably for the future to students actively in the application process. He specializes in a holistic approach to help students display their strengths beyond their academic records or metrics, allowing medical school admissions committees to fully appreciate their individuality. 

Dr. Lee also brings first-hand insight to the CASPer test, having taken it as both a pre-medical and medical student, recently scoring in the top quartile. With Inspira Advantage, he hopes to continue helping even more students on their journey to becoming a physician.

Having personally experienced the difficulties of pursuing a medical education, Dr. Manansala is passionate about helping others who find themselves on a similar path. Dr. Manansala's educational journey began at Colgate University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Japanese Language Studies. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Manansala obtained his MD from The Feinberg School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency at the University of Chicago, Illinois, where he spent over four years honing his skills as a physician. 

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Manansala is a prolific author with several first-authored publications in the field of rheumatology, particularly in sarcoidosis. His love for teaching and mentorship extends beyond academia, as he has assisted several medical students and residents in publishing their own research projects to prepare for residency applications. His attention to detail and ability to identify an individual's strengths and weaknesses make him an effective counselor.

Dr. Chaturvedi graduated Magna Cum Laude and with distinction from Duke University, with a major in neuroscience and minors in biology and chemistry. After graduating, he spent a gap year at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD, as an NIH IRTA fellow, investigating the roles of vasopressin (AVP) and oxytocin (OXT) in the central nervous system using mouse models. 

Dr. Chaturvedi then completed his MD at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. In addition to his impressive academic and research achievements, Dr. Chaturvedi has a strong commitment to mentoring and guiding aspiring medical professionals. For several years, he has served as a member of Duke's Medical Advisory Program (MAP) and UC San Diego School of Medicine's Premedical Advisory Program, where he has helped many students succeed throughout the medical school and residency application processes.

As a well-published author, Dr. Chaturvedi has extensive experience producing high-quality, professional essays, which have been instrumental in helping countless students navigate the admissions process successfully. His combination of academic excellence, research expertise, and passion for mentoring solidifies him as the perfect asset for students seeking guidance and support on their path to a career in medicine.

Dr. Kessler attended Johns Hopkins University for her undergraduate studies in pre-med and French. While at Johns Hopkins, she led the JHU Medical Ethics Discussion Panel and worked in a neurology and neurosurgery research lab. She then attended the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC and graduated with distinction in research. While at Mount Sinai, Dr. Kessler was the recipient of numerous awards, including a merit-based tuition scholarship for all four years of medical school.

While in medical school, Dr. Kessler founded the Special Forces Neurosurgery Collaborative with neurosurgeons from Mount Sinai, Cleveland Clinic, and the leadership of the US Green Beret Foundation, which is an organization that spearheads neurosurgery research initiatives geared towards addressing the unique healthcare needs of America's Special Forces warriors. Dr. Kessler has given over a dozen lectures on her research at national conferences and is currently a medical editor and reviewer for the Journal of Special Operations Medicine and MyHealthTeams, LLC. She was previously a reviewer for the World Neurosurgery journal and has authored five textbook chapters in major neurosurgical textbooks.

As a mentor, Dr. Kessler's greatest strength lies in her ability to draw from her extensive teaching and tutoring experience, coupled with her firsthand knowledge of the medical school and residency admissions processes. Her exceptional academic performance at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she graduated with distinction in research, has provided her with invaluable insights into what it takes to succeed in the competitive world of medical education.

Dr. Chung obtained her undergraduate degree from MIT, where she studied biology and Spanish. She earned her MD at Yale University and completed her general surgery intern year at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. 

She has over a decade of experience in tutoring, mentoring, and medical advising, having served as an MIT educational counselor and a medical admissions committee member at the Yale School of Medicine. Enthusiastic about helping students realize their dreams, Dr. Chung enjoys assisting applicants in navigating the challenging path toward a rewarding career in medicine.

Beyond her academic and mentoring endeavors, Dr. Chung has immersed herself in various impactful extracurricular pursuits. During her time at MIT, she actively contributed to research projects exploring cancer proteomics and investigating morphological changes caused by seizures in murine models. She also dedicated her time to volunteer work as a certified rape crisis counselor and played a crucial role on her undergrad student government’s presidential advisory council. Adding to her diverse contributions, Dr. Chung served as an ad hoc reviewer for JAMA Surgery.

Henry is an ophthalmology resident physician at Wills Eye Hospital, having completed both a BS in Biochemistry and a BA in Medieval Studies at Rice University. He is also a proud graduate of Stanford University, where he earned his MD/MBA as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar.

Henry’s professional journey is marked by his commitment to integrating innovative technologies in healthcare. His primary research focus is on the application of these technologies to enhance patient-centered healthcare delivery, especially in terms of efficiency, affordability, and accessibility. He has notably contributed to the establishment of telehealth networks for eye care in rural Taiwan and has developed diagnostic and surgical devices for treating orbital trauma in low-resource settings, achievements that have earned him multiple patents.

In addition to his research endeavors, Henry is deeply invested in medical education and the enhancement of patient-clinician relationships through cultural competency, compassionate communication, and reflective practice. He has applied this passion at Stanford University School of Medicine, designing and teaching courses on healthcare leadership, digital health, and patient communication strategies, particularly in the context of serious illness.

Henry is also a recognized voice in the medical community. He is the creator and co-host of "The Doctor's Art," a Webby Award-winning podcast exploring the meaning in medicine, and his TEDx talk on humanistic medicine is among the most-viewed of 2023. As an author, he has contributed more than 80 articles to prestigious journals such as the Journal of the American Medical Association and Academic Medicine, focusing on narrative medicine, healthcare delivery innovation, and ophthalmology.

Henry’s unique perspective is further enriched by his upbringing in Taiwan and liberal arts background, driving his passion for guiding students in discovering their unique stories and purpose in the field of medicine.

Jack graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He earned his MD as part of the inaugural class at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, where there was a <1% acceptance rate. Taking full advantage of the accelerated Dell Med curriculum, Jack earned an MPH during his third year at medical school. He then matched to an integrated vascular surgery residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. After completing two years in the program, Jack decided to change course and pursue a career in radiology. Since then, he has taken a research fellow position at UT Southwestern and is actively transitioning to a radiology residency.  

Jack first discovered his passion for academic consulting while mentoring high school students. He has since gained extensive experience tutoring numerous science disciplines and mentoring students from high school to medical school, as well as surgical residents who were under him in training. Jack is extremely committed to the students he works with and enjoys assisting them throughout the application process.

One of Jack’s greatest strengths as a coach is his all-inclusive approach. As someone who came from humble beginnings and was raised in a hard-working blue-collar environment, Jack believes anyone can achieve their dreams through dedication and commitment. He is a first-generation college graduate, which forced him to forge his path to medical school the hard way. Due to this experience, Jack empathizes with those who need guidance and will go above and beyond to ensure Advantage applicants feel supported throughout the admissions process.

Jay is a medical student at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, Arizona. He was born in Bulgaria and later immigrated to St. Louis, Missouri with his family at the age of six. Jay graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and an emphasis in Engineering Mathematics. While at Saint Louis University, he spent four years conducting research in the spheres of soft tissue engineering and microfluidics, in addition to founding the Engineering Health Collaborative, an organization focused on the development of low-cost medical devices for medically underserved countries. He was also a pre-medical fellow with the Atlantis Project in Athens, Greece during the summer and worked on a new entrepreneurial venture to develop a novel preventative medical device for catheter-associated urinary tract infections.

Later on, he became a Fulbright Scholar at the Medical University of Warsaw in Poland. While there, he spent two years teaching at the university level in the premedical sphere and was blessed with the opportunity to be a speaker on the stage of TEDx Warsaw. After, he moved on to Paris, France where he worked as Biomedical technology startup analyst through Hello Tomorrow, devoting time to accelerating radical solutions to improve human and planetary health by leveraging the power of deep tech.  

He is currently in medical school with an interest of pursuing either OBGYN or Urology. He has served on the admissions committee and has done freelancing work to help prepare undergraduate students with AMCAS application editing and traditional mock interviews. As a first-generation college student, he is a huge proponent of helping applicants to make their life story shine through the application and make them stand out in addition to their academic endeavors. Although grades and MCAT scores play one part in the application process, it's the human aspect that makes the application a whole.

Jennifer is a resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University. Within her residency program she is involved in medical student education and community advocacy. She studied medicine at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and graduated in 2022. Jennifer has mentored dozens of pre-medical, medical, and PA students on research, academic writing, networking, career planning, and medical school, PA school, and residency applications. Her clients have interviewed at programs across the country. She has experience with school selection, primary and secondary applications, essay editing, and mock interviewing.

Jennifer is originally from Ohio and graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with a degree in psychology and biology. After graduation, Jennifer served in the Peace Corps in Paraguay. After completing her service, Jennifer worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Univ. of Washington on various projects in general surgery and vascular surgery.

Jennifer’s strengths are in service, advocacy, and education. During her time at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, Jennifer was elected national president-elect of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA), has published nine peer-reviewed publications on women’s health and medical education, and was interviewed by Reuters Health and ABC News for her curriculum on Human Trafficking for medical students. Between her third and fourth year of medical school, she completed a Master’s in Public Health in Population and Family Health at Columbia University.

As a non-traditional med student, Jennifer brings a wealth of life and work experience to her perspective as an admissions expert. As a first-generation medical student, she is also personally familiar with scholarship application processes. Jennifer is super excited to work with you on your application!

Jingwen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Amherst College, where she completed a thesis and developed a keen interest in journalism, the history of medicine, and Asian American studies. Currently, she is a medical student at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

As an undergraduate student, Jingwen showed her passion for education by serving as a teaching assistant for various biology and statistics courses. She also provided guidance to aspiring medical professionals as a pre-health peer mentor. Demonstrating her commitment to helping others achieve their educational goals, Jingwen worked part-time as a college admissions essay advisor. 

Following her time at Amherst, Jingwen ventured into the field of medical writing during a gap year in Boston. During this period, she also made significant contributions to her community by volunteering as a facilitator for a youth program designed specifically for Asian American high school girls. 

At Columbia, Jingwen has been instrumental in providing free healthcare to those in need as a volunteer at a local clinic. She also served as a former Chapter President of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) and continued her love for teaching as a senior student teacher for pre-clinical students. Jingwen has also made her mark in the field of scientific research and medical journalism with several published articles to her name.

Upon completing her medical studies, Jingwen plans to begin her residency training in internal medicine, where she'll apply her skills and knowledge to provide quality care to her patients.

Joey was raised in the Bay Area of California and graduated with honors from Northwestern University, majoring in Biological Sciences. During his time at Northwestern, Joey was actively involved in peer-tutoring and bench research, culminating in the completion of an honors thesis. Following his graduation, he invested his skills in alzheimer’s research at the Gladstone Institute in San Francisco before enrolling at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine.

In medical school, Joey continued to mentor and teach, both at the undergraduate and medical student level. He achieved a score of 253 on Step 1 and Step 2 CK exams and was honored in all but one medical school rotation, leading to his induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. As a student representative on the admissions committee, Joey reviewed applications, interviewed applicants, and participated in discussion meetings for applicant approval.

Currently, Joey is a diagnostic radiology resident at UCSF and displays a keen interest in academic radiology. He continues to teach and mentor students, serving as the resident liaison for the residency's Medical Student Teaching program. Outside of his residency, Joey has shared his knowledge with medical students through MedSchoolCoach and has been recognized as a master tutor for his outstanding teaching abilities. He has successfully guided over 50 medical students through their Step exams.

With his professional and personal experiences, Joey has developed a deep understanding of the requirements for admission into leading medical schools and residency programs. His passion lies in teaching students and maximizing their potential as future medical professionals.

Joshua received a degree in Biomedical Science with a focus on Neuroscience from Cornell University. He stands today as an MD graduate with High Distinction and service-related awards from the renowned Weill Cornell Medical College.

Throughout his time at Weill Cornell, Joshua played a pivotal role as a medical school admissions interviewer and voting admissions committee member for multiple years. This valuable experience sparked a keen interest in educational advising, mentorship, and academic support. Prior to medical school, he honed these passions as an educational specialist for the New York Founding. Joshua's dedication to education also led him to advise several undergraduate and medical students throughout their medical school and residency admissions processes.

In addition to his pursuits in education, Joshua actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for esteemed academic journals such as the Global Spine Journal and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS). Currently, he serves as a chief resident in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Upon completion of his residency, he plans to extend his expertise further by pursuing a spine surgery fellowship at NYU.

Katie completed her undergraduate studies at California State University, San Marcos, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She later attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, showcasing her exceptional skills by scoring in the 96th percentile on the MCAT and more than the 90th percentile on both USMLE Step 1 and Step 2. Currently, Katie is pursuing her residency at one of the top 10 programs in the country for her chosen specialty—Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Wisconsin.

Nakia is currently a senior General Surgery Resident at New York-Presbyterian/Queens - Weill Cornell. She obtained her Bachelor's in Science at UCLA and graduated with honors majoring in Physiological Sciences and a minor in Global Studies. Before medical school, she pursued a Master's of Science at Keck Graduate Institute with an emphasis on biotechnology, focusing on device and diagnostic development. Nakia worked with many biotech/pharmaceutical companies on projects involving clinical applicability and the impact of therapeutic options. She completed her medical school education at Touro College of Medicine as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi National Honors Society, graduating in the top 10% of her class. Nakia also has a vested interest in global medicine and started a new Global Brigades chapter in her graduate program with medical trips to Central America. Neil Jairath is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical school, class of 2021. He graduated #1 in his class there, receiving the Charles and Phyllis Lowe Merit Scholarship (awarded to fourth-year medical students of highest academic standing), the Academic Achievement Award, and the Academic Recognition Award. Neil was also awarded the Paul DeWolf Award and Patrick John Niland Award, was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society, and graduated with Distinction in Research Honors. He was actively involved in leadership initiatives and interdisciplinary research, including the utilization of artificial intelligence as a means of augmented physician diagnosis and biostatistical projects and clinical research investigating various oncologic theories, especially pertaining to the intersection of immunology and oncology. He served as an interviewer and admissions representative for three years during his time at Michigan. Neil has 20+ published articles and has presented his team's work 30+ times at national and international conferences. He is pursuing a residency in dermatology at New York University starting July 2022, following an intern year at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego.

Prior to pursuing medicine, Neil attended The University of Notre Dame, where he studied medicine and computer science, with minors in philosophy and the AL/SC Honors Program. There, he founded a healthcare technology startup, worked in investment banking, and eventually found his way to falling in love with the practice of medicine. Nikhil is a resident physician at the University of Utah, training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. He attended UCLA for medical school and UC Davis for his undergraduate studies. As an undergrad, he had a strong interest in working with low-income populations, education and health literacy, and community health. This continued in medical school, where he led a clinic serving populations experiencing homelessness in LA. He also has a strong interest in global health and clinical research. As a resident, he is interested in further sub-specializing in head and neck cancer surgery and microvascular reconstruction.

Onye holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University and an MD from Emory University School of Medicine, where he graduated cum laude. He is currently a first-year neurology resident at the University of California, San Francisco.

With a strong interest in traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, Onye's research has focused on the recovery process and the development of implantable devices that can aid in patients’ rehabilitation and improve their quality of life. During his time at Emory, Onye also explored the negative effects of stress, particularly racism, on the white matter architecture of the brain. Before medical school, he worked as a clinical trials coordinator in the neurology department at Vanderbilt Medical Center, further solidifying his passion for medicine, neurology, and research.

Onye brings a unique perspective to his medical school admissions counselor work. As a former student interviewer, he understands the importance of the application narrative. He focuses on weaving together each applicant's different traits and strengths, especially when addressing a low GPA or MCAT score. Parth graduated from the honors program at The College of New Jersey, where he was awarded a Bachelor's degree in Biology, complemented by a minor in Economics. Following his time there, he spent a year in Queens, NY, supporting ninth-grade students in a high school setting via the City Year AmeriCorps program. Prior to his enrollment at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS), Parth attained a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Rutgers University. In his medical school journey, he served as a student doctor at the Promise Clinic, providing care for uninsured patients in the local community. His academic accomplishments extend to his publications and presentations at both national and international conferences. Parth is currently an Internal Medicine resident at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Vivek has a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from UNC Chapel Hill. During undergrad, he was an active volunteer with multiple organizations and was a teaching assistant for many courses in his program. He also participated in research within the field, including a research internship at the National Institute of Health. After his undergraduate degree, Vivek completed a post-baccalaureate program in Graduate Health Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University and served as a program administrator at VCU, advising students on optimal study habits and helping them craft their personal statements, perfect their activity descriptions, and prepare for their interviews. He then went on to complete his MD at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, where he served on the admissions committee for two years, interviewing applicants and participating in committee ranking meetings.
