Meet the Panelists

Austin
Stanford University School of Medicine
Austin’s passion for mentorship has culminated in a diverse set of experiences ranging from intensive one-on-one sessions with prospective professional students to leading large group events designed to level the playing field in test-taking, research, and the admissions process as a member of the Leadership in Health Disparities and Stanford Clinical Summer Internship programs. As a future Dermatologist from a rural Colorado town with zero immediate or extended family members in healthcare, he is excited to guide the next generation of physician leaders in achieving their goals no matter their background. Outside of being a medical student, Austin loves partaking in athletics, lifting weights, becoming immersed in movies, and exploring new food spots with his future wife.
Lois
Harvard Medical Student
Throughout her academic journey, Lois has been a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, serving on various committees to improve the climate for underrepresented and marginalized groups. In high school, she was a track and field athlete but also spent a large time competitively speaking as a poetry interpreter, extemporaneous speaker, and debater at Texas University Interscholastic League competitions. As an Honors student in the Polymathic Scholars Program, Lois researched how undergraduate institutions can use video games to support student learning.
