Dr. Pham is pursuing a Master’s in health profession education at the University of Rochester Warner School of Education alongside his periodontics residency, further strengthening his ability to provide effective guidance to his students. With a DDS from New York University College of Dentistry and a Master’s of dental sciences from McGill University, Dr. Pham is well-equipped to guide aspiring dentists through the application process.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Pham's passion for education began during his undergraduate years at the University of Toronto. There, he excelled as a coach for the university's dragon boat team while pursuing his BS in nutritional sciences and human biology. 

At McGill, Dr. Pham was the Co-Founder and Vice President of the National Student Research Group Chapter at the school’s Faculty of Dentistry. In dental school, he spent two years as a teaching assistant and was President of NYU’s American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Chapter, Periodontal Club, and Student Research Group. Additionally, Dr. Pham has acted as a peer reviewer for journals including MDPI (Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute), and Wiley for nearly seven years. 

Dr. Pham deeply understands the challenges and setbacks that applicants face. He believes the lessons learned from his own journey have been invaluable in his professional growth; they have given him the knowledge and skills necessary to create a stellar application. Through his patient, meticulous, and strategic approach, Dr. Pham deconstructs the application process into manageable steps tailored to each individual's schedule and capabilities. He has a knack for helping students craft exceptional applications that reflect their strengths, experiences, and aspirations.

Dr. Pham is interested in working with all types of students, including reapplicants seeking advice on how to become stronger candidates and early applicants seeking goal-setting support and mentorship. Inspired by the guidance and mentorship he received throughout his academic and professional journey, Dr. Pham has made it his mission to pay it forward by assisting others in achieving their career aspirations. He is confident in his ability to guide with clarity at every stage of the application process.

Dr. Soltanian began her journey at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she studied a combination of business administration and chemistry. Throughout her undergraduate years, she participated in various extracurricular activities and held leadership positions in several organizations. From peer mentoring to multidisciplinary healthcare clubs, these experiences played a crucial role in helping her discover her passion for guiding and supporting aspiring dental students. After graduating, she pursued her passion for dentistry at Nova Southeastern University, where she earned her DMD. 

Upon completing her dental education, she returned to Virginia, where she established Glowing Smiles Dentistry. Even after completing dental school, her commitment to guiding pre-dental students remains steadfast as she offers shadowing opportunities in her practice. Each year, she welcomes a few students, ensuring she is supporting future dentists.

During her first year of dental school, Dr. Soltanian challenged herself with training for a full 26-mile marathon while balancing her rigorous academic responsibilities and extracurricular commitments. Remarkably, she completed the marathon within the same year, showcasing her exceptional discipline, determination, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

With her degree in business administration and experience as a practice owner, Dr. Soltanian offers a distinctive perspective to students pursuing non-traditional science majors with the goal of opening and managing their own practices. She guides students in selecting science and business courses, as well as insights into practice management. Having completed both degrees and gaining acceptance to dental school within the typical four-year university timeframe, she offers practical expertise and proven strategies to help students achieve their academic and professional goals seamlessly.

One of Dr. Soltantian’s greatest strengths is her educational and professional background, which sets her apart from the typical dentist. With a blend of business administration expertise and hands-on experience in practice ownership, she offers a unique perspective and valuable insights to navigate the complexities of the dental profession.

Dr. Soltanian is dedicated to giving back to her community and ensuring that everyone has access to quality dental care. She is a frequent participant in Give Kids a Smile, an annual event that provides dental services to children who may not otherwise have the means to receive proper oral healthcare.

Dr. Pirooz has consistently demonstrated her commitment to excellence throughout her academic journey. At HSDM, she was awarded the Silver Medal for Scholastic Excellence, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award for promise in the field of pediatric dentistry, and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a prestigious dental honor society. Additionally, she received several academic and performance scholarships, further highlighting her exceptional abilities and dedication to the field of dentistry. She has also volunteered as an Oral Health Educator at Boston's Children's Hospital and the University of Rwanda.

After earning her DMD from HSDM, Dr. Pirooz completed her pediatric dental residency at Columbia University, which was her top choice. This experience, combined with her current practice as a board-certified pediatric dentist, has given her a specialized perspective on the skills and qualities necessary for success in the field of dentistry.

What sets Dr. Pirooz apart as a counselor is her passion for teaching and mentoring, which began during her two years as a physics and biology high school teacher post-undergrad. This experience led her to work with students throughout dental school, residency, and beyond. For nearly a decade, she has been advising pre-dental students on dental school admissions and providing expert guidance as a DAT tutor.
