Aanika obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and then went on to pursue her MD and MPH in Epidemiology/Biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins University. She is currently an internal medicine resident at the Johns Hopkins Osler Internal Medicine Training Program and applying for hematology/oncology fellowship programs.

Aanika's fascination with the medical field began during her undergraduate years when she was part of a breast cancer research lab for four years. This experience solidified her interest in oncology and led her to medical school at Johns Hopkins University. During her medical education, she was recognized with several scholarships and took some time off to delve deeper into epidemiology/biostatistics through a fully funded MPH degree program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

As an internal medicine resident, Aanika has not only honed her skills as an internist but also continued to explore her passion for oncology. Alongside, she has authored over 10 peer-reviewed publications, worked as an academic advisor for pre-medical students and served on the medical admissions committee at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Aanika brings to the table meticulous attention to detail and a vast experience of working with students. She is ardent about helping students achieve their goals and envisages a career in academic oncology.

Aditya is a current radiology resident at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He attended Duke University for undergrad, majoring in neuroscience, and attended the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine for medical school. He has had significant research experience, ranging from computational neuroscience in undergrad to artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and health services research in medical school.

Aditya has published extensively on these topics and continues to be academically productive in these areas. He has formally mentored several premedical and pre-physician assistant students through the admissions process and is also well-versed in residency applications.

Andrew is a medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai pursuing a career in Anesthesiology. He has a startup valued at $12 million which focuses on providing affordable vision care across the US, has >20 peer-reviewed publications, and is looking to continue to help others in their medical careers.

Originally from the greater Pittsburgh area, Andrew went to public school all his life and attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he majored in computational chemistry with a focus in biology. He conducted research through the Department of Biomedical Informatics, where he published a paper in Scientific Reports on long non-coding RNA SNHG7 and its impact on breast cancer. He graduated in three years from Pitt and went straight to medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During his first year there, he joined multiple research labs focusing on large-data analysis and machine learning.

He also co-founded Retina Technologies Inc., a company aimed to disrupt vision care by leveraging virtual reality, retinal imaging, and machine learning onto a portable platform to provide affordable, accessible, and accurate vision screening across the country. He served as the CTO of the company, spearheading four clinical trials, submitting three provisional patents and one non-provisional PCT patent, and built both the hardware and software from the ground up. He has continued his involvement in both his research and the company throughout all four years of medical school and is applying to residency programs for Anesthesiology. 

Dr. Charles began his academic journey in biomedical engineering at the illustrious Duke University, before earning his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. His academic excellence led to his induction into the Tau Beta Pi engineering honors society during his undergraduate years.

While pursuing his medical degree, Charles developed a keen interest in vascular biology, leading him to further explore this area through extensive research on the VEGFR2 receptor pathway. His valuable contribution was acknowledged with the prestigious Surgical Skills Award and the Eugene Stead Research Scholarship. Following his passion for vascular biology, he completed his residency training in Vascular Surgery at the University of Massachusetts.

Today, Charles applies his knowledge and skills in the New York City area, where he has built a successful career as a Vascular Surgeon. His dedication to his field, combined with his rigorous academic background, makes him an invaluable resource for aspiring medical students. As an admissions coach, he is committed to sharing his insights and experiences to help students navigate the complex medical school admissions process.

Deanna is a general surgery resident at New York-Presbyterian Queens - Weill Cornell Medicine. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. After her undergraduate education, she attended medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas Campus. Deanna is originally from the Northeast and made her way back by matching at NYPQ for general surgery residency. Within her residency program, she was nominated as a member of the Residency Council, responsible for acting as a liaison between the residents and administration to improve resident life. While in medical school, she acted as a mentor to first-year medical students. She would help them with time management, study tips, and tutoring in the anatomy lab. Before medical school, Deanna worked in a high school as a special education inclusion aid, helping students keep up in class by hosting small group teaching sessions and individualizing approaches to meet the students' personal needs for success. Deanna is approachable and ready to help you achieve your dreams.

Dike is an MD candidate at Tufts University School of Medicine with plans to work as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. He was born in Nigeria, raised in Dallas, Texas, and completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Connecticut. 

Dike is the middle child of five siblings and is the first of his family to earn a college degree. During his undergrad, he excelled academically while working full-time, earning him a spot on the dean's list over consecutive semesters. He later completed an intensive internship at Yale University School of Medicine in preparation for his application process. 

With this diverse collection of experiences, Dike brings a unique perspective as a coach. He is easily able to connect with students from various backgrounds. He aims to build a strong alliance with Advantage students, working hand in hand to set them up for success as they embark on their own personal journey into medicine.
