Meet the Panelists:

Neil
University of Michigan

Neil Jairath is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical school, class of 2021. He graduated #1 in his class there, receiving the Charles and Phyllis Lowe Merit Scholarship (awarded to fourth-year medical students of highest academic standing), the Academic Achievement Award, and the Academic Recognition Award. Neil was also awarded the Paul DeWolf Award and Patrick John Niland Award, was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society, and graduated with Distinction in Research Honors. He was actively involved in leadership initiatives and interdisciplinary research, including the utilization of artificial intelligence as a means of augmented physician diagnosis and biostatistical projects and clinical research investigating various oncologic theories, especially pertaining to the intersection of immunology and oncology. He served as an interviewer and admissions representative for three years during his time at Michigan. Neil has 20+ published articles and has presented his team's work 30+ times at national and international conferences. He is pursuing a residency in dermatology at New York University starting July 2022, following an intern year at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego.
