Having grown up in the rural Midwest, followed by attending the University of Iowa as an undergrad, Callie is now a student at Yale School of Medicine and will be pursuing a career in psychiatry. She has five years of tutoring experience and has been involved with curriculum reform and health justice advocacy. Her research interests include qualitative research on the lived experience of having mental illnesses and health disparities research. Along with Inspira, Callie is involved in Yale's first-generation low-income student group and the LGBTQ affinity group. She is passionate about helping prospective students with diverse backgrounds discuss these parts of their identities in their applications.
Alex is a medical student at Weill Cornell Medical College in Manhattan. He is originally from New Jersey but moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA before transferring to Duke University as a sophomore. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and French, completing an honors thesis covering both fields during his senior year. Alex has years of experience mentoring students and helping them attend their dream schools. Students Alex has recently coached have gotten accepted into several top-tier universities, including USC, Weill Cornell, Northwestern University, and Dartmouth College. As a medical student, Alex aims to help students find the best program to match their career aspirations, individual needs, and interests. In addition to working with MD applicants, he has coached several students aspiring to attend DO and PA schools. He deeply values peer mentorship and looks forward to helping Advantage students succeed on their journey toward higher education.
